Good morning!

I got back on track yesterday but I'm two days behind. That's okay, I'll do what I can to catch up or just add it on to the end.

Phyllis - see my last or next to last post yesterday on the thread. I believe we posted at the same time. Thanks for asking about me. You guys are great.

Today is Circuit Max and CTX 10-10-10. I don't have CTX, so I was going to sub All Step but I don't think 10-10-10 is an "all step" work out. I'll have to look at this a little closer. I'll be doing Circuit Max for the first time.

10-10-10 is 10 min. of hi/lo, 10 min. kickboxing, 10 min. step. Hope that helps.

Today is Power Hour and lunges and who knows what else!:p I haven't looked that closely.....ON PURPOSE!
I won't fit in my workout this morning because I am taking my dad to the surgery center for a colonoscopy. It's routine, but please think some positive thoughts.
I will try very hard to make sure I squeeze the workout SOMEWHERE into this busy day. If not, I'll just be a day behind and that's nothing new for me this month!!!:eek:

Hi everyone! Jane, glad you hear that you're back on schedule! It always makes me feel better when I stick to routine.

Jane, isn't All Step in the CTX disc? Oh, do you have the VHS? Like Becky stated 10-10-10 is a little of everything. Maybe you could do some cardio from SJP. That would give you a mix, although no kickboxing. I don't think it matters as long as you HR stays elevated. You'll love Circuit Max. It was my 1st Cathe.

I'm resting today, but back with a vengence tomorrow!

I just finished the 400 walking lunges and the 10 sets of 8 pushups (ALL done on my toes!!!!}( ) But am wondering for the sit-ups......do crunches count or Cathe really means FULL situps!?
I didn't know they were reccommended anymore?.......thought it was more hip flexor work and strain on the neck and back??

Gotta shower and leave and I will do the situps later with PH. My heart is POUNDING from the lunges and pushups!!!!

Becky, I started out with situps and quickly switched to crunches. I also, thought that crunches were better for you than a full sit up. However, I didn't do them all b\c I ran out of time.

Any ideas what Cathe might be coming out with for the Feb rotation? I know I should do more strength building, but the cardio is so much more fun!! Phyllis

Jane- I'm glad yu are back to your daily routine, although I'm guessing your neighbor is filling up much of your free thought. ;(
As far as 10-10-10 goes, I would interpret any 30" intense cardio as a reasonable substitution.

I've completed PH and the 8 sets of 10 push ups so far. I had to stop to take kids to school, and so now I'm having my coffee. Shortly I will get to the 400 lunges and 500 sit ups. No I am not doing situps. I am doing various ab exercises 500 counts. This is the way I am interpreting it.

In the past, Cathe has posted the months rotation on the eve of the first day of the month and not really much sooner.

I did PH today for the first time in a long time. I forgot how much I love Cathe's endurance stuff. Good workout.

With Cathe being injured, perhaps she will have more time (lol) to post the next torture a little earlier....

Hi Girls. I didn't think I'd fit it all in this morning but somehow managed it. This is the first time I've done Power Hour with a barbell. Had always done it with dumbbells before. It takes a bit longer than the hour with the barbell because I have to pause the DVD many times to change the weights. Maybe it should be called Power Hour and a Quarter LOL. It took me another half hour to do all the sit ups, push ups, and lunges. This made me a little late for work but heck I'll just add a little more time to the end of my work day to make up for it. I don't want to ruin my streak of getting every workout done.

My pants are really loose this morning. Along with the body fat% and scale, I'll have to also do my measurements this week. Something good is happening, I just have to find out where.

Hi Again!

I just finally finished the workout. I'm late, but at least I did it!!!
This morning I did the 400 walking lunges and 10 sets of 8 pushups, all on my toes. This afternoon I did the 500 situps (I did crunches) and I just finished Power Hour. I did leave out the abs and pushups....I figured I did them already!!!

I might try to fit in a short bike ride or something this evening for a little cardio. But if I don't.....I won't feel TOO bad about it!;) :p
 
Great job everybody!! I am still bringing up the rear, but I got it done. Circuit Max was fun!! I liked it. I subbed BC cardio only premix and HSTA cardio only premix for the 10-10-10. These two gave me a little bit of everything, hi/lo, KB, and step just like 10-10-10. I love that Cathe Compendium!! I'd never be able to identify these substitutions without that thing. Bless you Lunacat!!

I burned 696 calories, 1 hour and 37 minutes (probably a few minutes needs to be counted for switching all those DVD's!)

Hey Jane, I like Circuit Max too. It my first Cathe workout after Cardio Hits so it will probably always be one of my favorites. It always gives me a better calorie burn than Boot Camp.

I use the Compendium too, especially for figuring what equipment to pull out (hats off to Lunacat). Over the last couple months I've been putting together a cross reference of all the titles and chapters in all the DVDs including the premixes. I'm also putting in the description of the chapter and how long the chapter is. With a disc changer, having the chapter/title/time information helps me put together mish moshes. One day I'll get it all done!
