Hi ladies...

Getting our weekend thread started...Today I am going to be doing Gym Style: back, shoulders and biceps!!

Today is Vic's birthday. So, we are going out to dinner tonight after church. I am going to do my best to eat smart. But, he requested a cheesecake for birthday cake. So, I am going to have a small piece of it after dinner tonight...

Chris also his is first day of winter baseball camp. It is every Saturday for 6 weeks at one of the local school gyms...He is really looking forward to that...

ok, time to get our day started!!

Hey Everyone...

Saturday Saturday! I really have to try to get a workout in today, since I ate crappy yesterday. I just got in this mood where I HAD to eat. I couldn't really shake it either. I did try to pick healthier choices, but in the end, it wasn't pretty.

Saturdays are SOOOO hard though! 30 minutes, I can do it! Will either do KCM's Cardio Blast Step or Turbo Jam Fat Blaster. It's ONLY 30 minutes, right????

And , OMG, the DOMS from GS Chest and Triceps are KILLEr this morning!:eek:

Have a good workout today, Kathy! And enjoy the birthday celebration! Happy Birthday to Vic!!! :). What weight work are you planning for next week?

Beth: I'm sorry you're in a funk. I'm trying really hard not to get in one today too. I just want to chalk yesterday up to ONE bad day. Positive thoughts! Positive thinking!

Time to get newspapers ready! Joy Joy Happy Happy!:) :)confused:)

Hey Chris:

I didn't do so great with eating yesterday either. I even did Imax 2 for my workout and still felt bad about the eating. Oh well! Today is a new day right?! Hope you get some kind of a workout done. I know Chest & triceps are tough with ALL THOSE PUSHUPS! I had a tough time with that workout too..Thanks for the birthday wishes. I will tell him...Next week I have scheduled myself:

Monday: Rhythmic Step
Tuesday: Double upper body from Body max 2
Wednesday: Kick, punch & crunch
Thursday: Butts & Gutts
Friday: Low Max
Saturday: High Step Training
Sunday: Rest day

That is my plan for next week. I am going to make up my weeks next month too since we are going to Disney for a week next month...

Good morning! Happy Birthday to Vic! Hope you guys have fun today! I have to take a dessert to a gathering tomorrow -- 12 people total (6 adult / 6 kid). Any ideas? I'm thinking I may make really yummy home made brownies, buy a yummy fruit pie and vanilla ice cream for both and let everyone pick. But, I'm open to suggestions!!

Nice plan on the workouts next week, Kathy -- it's classic Cathe stuff -- some of her best, I think! Though, hard to say..... STS is pretty amazing, of course. Nice on the DOMs, Chris.

I think I have a new favorite workout..... and..... it's not shock cardio!! I did Lalo 2 this morning and really really liked it! I think I'm going to be sore, too! Sounds like he's got a third one in the works....

Last night was so crazy..... Travis was invited to see the Harlem Globetrotters for a boy's birthday celebration, but that meant I had to pick him up at school sometime between 10 and 11. We were so tired at 9:00! So I had to think whether or not it made sense to sleep for a while or if I'd have trouble staying awake driving if I slept. In the end, I stayed awake. Anyway, it meant for a strange night because of course when I picked up Travis he was totally pumped up and hungry, so we were up for a while.

Today.... the Marco Polo report!! Unfortunately he's back to the video game idea.... I'm really afraid he's going to focus on that more than the research and it's going to take forever!!! No storm yet, but we're supposed to have a really bad one hit starting tomorrow -- more rain than we've had in five years (remember, in October we had a day where we got 12" to 14" of rain depending on what source you believe). So, it could be interesting..... we may have to go to the office for power!

ok, off to play go to the head of the class with Dylan, who's getting sick again, darn it!! have a great day! Hottie, I'm sorry you are sleeping so horribly! Are you going to go to a specialist?

Quick Post LOL!!

Delivered papers, came home, did KCM's Athletic Step Blast! LOVED it!!

Kathy: Awesome plans for next week! I'm almost tempted to copy, but I have a fun 4DS week coming. I'm going to use the 4DS combos that Fitness Freak had in one of her rotations (repeating the rounds twice!)

Beth:
First: Wasn't Lalo2 great?? I wonder when I can do it again!! And yes, he did mention 3. WOOT WOOT! Second: Paula Deen Brownies!! Do a box of brownie mix and put some good chocolate bars in the middle of the batter. YUM!!! Last: Hope the storm isn't so bad, can't imagine getting 12 inches of rain or more! That's NUTS!

Hottie:
Have you done meditation before? Holy cow, the ones I have , I could have drifted off into la-la land for hours.

*waves to Joanne AND Vilma (miss ya)*

Gotta go get some food in the crockpot and in the boys' bellies!

Chris, great that you loved athletic step still. I am liking the rotation I set up for some shorter cardios and I have to remember my KCMs.

Yes, I loved loved loved the new Lalo -- I did modify some of the pushup variations. That one lunge down to grab opposite ankle and then stand up with lifted knee held really got me!!! I love the slow moves.

Yeah, it was 12" or so of rain in a twenty four hour period, I guess. It was nuts!

I decided to make a home-made brownie recipe I have that is really yummy -- so good it doesn't even need the additional candy bars (though that's mighty good, too). This recipe is made with three sticks of butter, more than a cup of cocoa powder, and 12 oz of bittersweet chocolate -- very rich.

Back to Marco..... Polo!

Hi ladies...

Rest day for me today..It is raining here now. I need to do my run to Costco and the grocery store. So, that is on the agenda today..

We had a great dinner last night. We went to a italian/greek restaurant. Yummy! Vic had a gyro and I had soulvaki (I think I spelled that right)the kids went with pizza and wings and it was really good...We were so full we decided to wait on the cheesecake until today..

Beth: Yum on those brownies!! I don't have the Lalo workouts. But, I am glad you got a great workout that you enjoyed..

Chris: Thanks..I am trying to make my workout weeks have an upper body day and lower body day and in general have 3 weights days and the rest cardio. You are more than welcome to use my workout week...

ok, gotta make breakfast...

Good morning all! Happy Sunday! How was work, Chris? Kathy, it sounds like a fun birthday celebration. Funny, I took my friend to lunch one day last week for her birthday and we had the same menu has you had last night!! Good luck with your errands today.

I did MMA Fusion for the first time this morning. I really liked it! I think those people who think it's not very intense must be sitting on the couch while they are doing it!

More Marco Polo today. He has flipped again and decided (again) that the video game is too much work, so he's going to make a board game. He did a lot of research yesterday (and thinks he is done with that part), but he has no real idea (that I can tell) of how the game will be played. We have to go get supplies today. It's raining here, too, so it means running around to two or three different places in the rain. Ug. Oh well.

I've got to bake those brownies at some point....... have a great day!

Hey Girls!

Not feeling too bad for a Sunday, but not wanting to go back to work tonight. It was an ok night last night. easy beginning and I thought I'd have some extra time on my hands, but it got busier later, and I didn't get my extra work done.

We're supposed to be getting a lovely "Wintry Mix" tonight for weather. Doesn't that make it sound nice? Rain/snow/sleet accumulating to 2-5 inches of snow. The boys are off tomorrow from school all ready at least.

"Rest Day" for me today, tomorrow I start the 4DS week. Remember Fitness Freak's Dec rotation, Beth? I'm doing her repetitive weight work. Should be "fun"! I had WICKED long lasting DOMS in my chest and triceps yesterday from GS on Friday. I think even worse or comparable to the first week of STS!!

Kathy: Your dinner sounds so good!!! I'm drooling!

Beth: And I'm drooling after your brownies!!

Guess I better go get our dinner. Week #2 of me cooking and no take-out!

Chris, I have 4DS on the calendar for next week -- maybe I'll do it your way (FF, I know!).

Yuck on the weather! We still haven't had much rain, but I guess it's supposed to hit hard starting tonight and just keep going for days. It has been light rain all day.

The brownies.... I just cut them up for easier serving, and of course so I could try one. They are burned on the bottom! I remember this -- I made them only once before and they were a combination of burned and really gooey. The burned part almost tastes like burned marshmallow -- I suppose from the high sugar content! -- so it's not a total loss, but I'm not sure if the kids will like them. I had sort of thought we'd take a berry pie for the adults, but Larry bought a pecan tart.

There has been some progress with Marco Polo, but not as much as I'd like!!! Good thing we have all day tomorrow, too (hopefully the power won't go out!). Ug!
