Good morning ladies...

Rhythmic Step is on my calendar for my workout today. Looking forward to it since it is one of my favorites...Not much planned for today. Lauren's drawing lessons have been moved to Tuesday from now on. Which is better for CCD days....

ok, time to start the day. Hope everyone is well this Monday morning!!

Hi Kathy, and all! Enjoy RS, Kathy!

Is everyone sleeping in this fine MLK day? We had dinner with friends last night -- three families of four. We had such a great time, but they pouring margaritas like water and I'm not good in that sort of situation, so I was a wreck in the night. Was going to do a super long workout this morning since I have the time, but I just couldn't face what I had planned, so I ended up doing another Ellen -- Slim Sculpt. It was just the ticket. Amazing how those three pound weights can kill you at times!! I'm feeling better now, but still have that residual headache! What a stupid mistake!

I hope Travis will finish his project today -- even though it's not due til Friday, he has so much going on this week it'd be really good to be done. One of the boys last night has written a rap song about Sir Francis Drake, and the twins who are there are going to do a video where they are arguing about which one of their explorers was "better" -- naming off all the facts and so on. A far cry from the dry reports we had to do, eh?!

Our storm has started -- more rain, and lots of wind. I wouldn't be surprised if we have to drive down to the office to finish the report. But Larry's worried about leaving me here since there is a big tree on our road that is going to come down any day now. Could be interesting! Hope you all have a relaxing day!

Morning -- I've been out of commission for the last couple days as the lack of sleep was getting to me. And my husband can't (read: won't) cook so I've just been eating crap and that doesn't help the body either. Oh, and he deliberately is picking fights with me right before I try to fall asleep a well. Oh, and he just made my breakfast (farina+flax seed+soymilk = 1.5 mins) with spoiled soymilk. Oh, and did I mention that last night was the first night I had managed to have a deep sleep and he headbutted (yes, I said headbutted) me ~4a so I couldn't fall back asleep until 615a? Oh, well, he did. I have to say, I am completely jealous of his ability to sleep for HOURS under any condition. Next step of evolution.

It's rainy here too Beth though I got it a couple hours after you! I asked Joe to mow the lawn before it rained so it wouldn't look like a jungle at the end of all this rain. I'm hoping we won't find any leaks in the next couple days. I really want to do Imax Extreme or the Viper or something that will sweat the crap out of me (literally!). I'm worried about Evee. The dog doesn't like to go out in the rain but that means we may find accidents inside the house...and it's pouring a lot more than it was yesterday so I'm not sure what she's whining about. I was the only one who wasn't going into lab today but I'm thinking if the rain continues, everyone will take that holiday today (well, only my lab was showing up -- the rest of the building is closed).

Kathy -- have fun with RS! If you want btw, click on my blog -- I found some Ryka shoe deals if there are any you like.

Beth -- those ARE creative projects. But I think its better for younger kids than older ones. This kid that Joe and I are tutoring goes to this super fancy private school next to Caltech and it's sorta weird how he spent so much of his time doing this more creative projects that he doesn't know the basics of writing a good term paper (we spent multiple sessions trying to clean up a paper that he was supposed to spend months on)! But let them have fun and get into everything now, right? Everyone seems to be saying nice things about the Ellen series...now that I know why when I would hear her voice, I'd feel funny I think I'm ok with buying a couple new ones (on sale of course).

Mmm...still under warm covers...

Hey Girls!

Happy MLK DAY!!! (Gotta love that I got paid time and 1/2 for working last night, Thank You Martin Luther King!!)

I had a pretty decent night at work last night. Not ONE single admission! It was a nice break. Had a train wreck of a guy though. He was 57, and a MESS from drinking. I was praying he didn't wake up , because he would have been really hard to deal with. (confusion).

Anyhoooo... going to head down to do Chest & Back from 4DS, repeating each round once. Hope I can do the chest work, my chest is still a little sore from Friday!

Kathy: I dont' even need to tell you to enjoy RS today! Fun!

Beth: The weather there sounds scarey. Just waiting for 'whatever' to happen sucks! Sorry you're a little under the weather yourself today. that's a crappy feeling. Even if self induced. ;) Good you got some workout in. those projects for the kids sound hard on you too! I hate that the projects become OUR projects most of the time (not to do , but to orchestrate ;and make sure they get it done).

Hottie: Wow, your sleep patterns sound horrid! Can you go to some sort of sleep specialist or sleep study? Hope you have a better day and get in a good sweaty workout.

I better head down , the clock is ticking...

Chris, you're sounding like therapist to those of us in need. ;) I'm feeling ok -- more than anything I was just mad at myself for not paying attention to what I was putting into myself! My gosh!

Let me know how that double 4DS treats you when you're still suffering from the other day's workout!!

Glad you had an easier night of it, finally, and.... that you got paid extra! Woot!!

Oh, you guys are probably in bed now. I did Imax Extreme with a bunch of breaks. My cardio capacity is just shot...so I'll have to make a rotation to raise that up. Given how sick I've been, I think I shouldn't be too upset. I also made it to the spa! I got a body slimming wrap -- not so much to lose weight but to tighten up my skin. I get these treatments after losing a bunch of weight...not as much as an excuse this time but it's relaxing and I hadn't treated myself well. But get this -- to celebrate the long weekend, Joe took me out to dinner to a place a couple blocks east of the spa. The Olive Garden! But we tried really hard to not be too bad. We brought most of dinner home as we got too full on soup and salad (and those infamous breadsticks). I'm just chilling for the rest of the evening and thinking about dragging Joe into a pilates workout. If I can resist the leftovers!
