Hey Janice:
thanks for your encouraging words on the other depression (long) thread. Power walking on the treadmill still isn't what I used to do but it is a start and a huge advance for me.
Am I remembering correctly? Did you start a thread a while back about taking Lamictal? Are you still taking it? How is it working for you? I have finally met a good psychiatrist who has listened and questioned at length and we have reached a conclusion of bi-polar type 2 and AD/HD added in, which is way different from the blanket "severe depression" all the other therapists/PCPs/psychiatrists gave me along with their useless SSRIs which did me zero good. It's way more useful and nuanced a diagnosis. So we are thinking of trying me on a stimulant for the AD/HD and Lamictal for the bi-polar type 2. I was wondering if you had any words of advice or encouragement about taking it? Any comment at all. I have been told that it causes few if any side effects and is generally successful. In your case, do you agree?
How are you doing right now?
TTYS!
