Power Hour is done! I find it to be a boring WO, and seldom reach for it. The squats with the BB hurt my back, so I switched to DB. I actually did that alot throughout the WO. I did the 400 lunges, but I only did 100 situp/crunches and 3 sets of pushups. It's enough for me!

Does anyone have any feedback on their calories burned? I'm on the small side and don't burn too many calories. Just wanted to know if that's normal because I'm small (114 lbs) or if it's me. Thanks.

When I first purchased PH shortly after it was produced, I did it 3 X per week and I was really tired of it. Now after Muscle max and ME it seems shortr top me. I sometimes use DB too instead of the BB. It gives me less of a bad strain on my upper back and shoulder area.

I've completed IMAX2 and after this coffee is done, I will do the 30" bike session.

I can't comment for sure on calorie burn, because I can only track mine on the bike or treadmill and I'm not even sure how accurate they are. But your being a light person, you may burn fewer claories than a heavier person. but does it really matter? As long as it works for you it good!

Good morning,

Today was Imax 2. That one is alot of fun, the only interval that I have a "dread" factor on is number 9, and I wish the stretch was more thorough, but I think this the most fun of the imaxes, imo.

I am looking forward to PH, I actually like this one. It was my first Cathe workout and I love the endurance results.

Today was IMAX 2 followed by 30 minutes on my NordicTrack.

I actually like interval 9 and totally dread interval 5 - however- today #5 was actually easier for me. I must be getting stronger!:)

I also like Power Hour a lot. I prefer it over M.E. I love the music and the style. I am looking forward to it - but NOT to the lunges! :eek:

I love IMAX2....it's one of my very favorite step workouts!!( #'s 5 & 9 are my hardest intervals too, yikes!) I did Imax2 and then 45 minute bike ride. I showered, had a blueberry/peach protein smoothie and now it's off to get groceries!

Jane, are you out there somewhere?? If you posted somewhere I missed it. Hope everythings okay at your house.

Hi girls. IMAX2 and 30 minutes of a Christi Taylor step DVD is complete. Anyone else use Christi Taylor? Her choreography is complex but it's so fun once you learn it. The time just flies by.

Pwmatt: what kind of heart rate monitor do you use and what is your resting heart rate? On a typical cardio day, how much time are you staying in your target zone? My HRM doesn't calculate calories burned if my HR goes below 100. My resting HR is 43-45 so normally during low impact or recovery moves my HR dips below 100. Granted I'm a bit bigger than you but I know small girls who normally post numbers in the 400's for an hour of Cathe cardio. Me, I'm happy if I get 300 for an hour and only get that much on workouts like MIC. A typical step tape gives me about 260 for the hour. I'm so jealous of those posting big numbers!
 
TK - I don't know what my resting HR is. My monitor, M32, only registers anything over 114. So, like you, my numbers aren't very big. My ownzone is 114 to 150. Like someone else posted, it doesn't really matter. It's all relative. However, I read about all these huge calorie burns and wonder..... Phyllis

Hey everybody... Becky I'm here!!!

I am behind!!! I took a rest day Sunday because of just not feeling like working out after the funeral. I was planning on getting back in the swing of things yesterday but with yet another rainy day (it has rained since Friday night here, but is clear today thank goodness), I was just not in the mood. I should have worked out though, I knew I'd feel better but you know that blahs....

I'll either catch it up or just work two days over the rotation cut off.

Today I did Triple Threat finally!! I did what I'd planned and have posted a couple of times.... Step Works (for the first time) I liked it a lot but that third combo is going to take some practice and SB combos 1,2,3 add-on. I also did CoreMax #3 so I worked out two hours!!

Phyllis, you are going to faint when you see my calorie burn for the 1 hour and 35 minutes of step aerobics.... 693 calories!! I thought it was a mistake but my Polar F4 said 693!! I did work very hard giving 110% though, I felt very strong today. Two rest days in a row really made a difference!!
