I really need to go back and read yesterday's posts so I can do personals since I was just not able to get back on here yesterday.

Hey Vilma! (wondering...do you have a nickname? Vil? Villy?..just curious).

My plan for today is finishing up some 1RM's, some biceps I missed. Maybe sneaking in a Yoga. I got a new Yoga video a few months ago (preordered) I never did! That might be fun. I actually woke up with DOMS from doing the 1RMs for Chest and Triceps yesterday (I lifted WICKED heavy, no wonder!).

DH is home today. I cut him some slack for yesterday. He said he could hardly talk when he left the regular Dentist on his way to the Oral Surgeon. Plus he didn't have his cell with him. I felt sorry for him, they had to rip his tooth out, and he came home, took a Vicodin and antibiotic and slept through from 2:30p until this morning!!

Good morning Vilma..

Stopping in to say hello..I got STS last night. Now I need to do those 1rm..yikes..I love the manuel that came with all the dvds. There are so many of them too. It is overwhelming!! I love it..

Today, I am going to do some cardio/weight combo. Not sure what. Maybe an Amy or FIRM workout...

Hi Chris...we posted at the same time..Enjoy that yoga. I haven't done that in a while either. I may add that before the next rotation starts..Glad you were able to makeup with hubby...
 
Hey Kathy!

OMG..you got STS? I hope mine comes today! I'm scared because our driveway didn't get cleared yesterday (it was too heavy for me to do much and I don't know how to work the snow blower). So it's covered in icy/snow. I hope the UPS guy will still drop it off! (it's due to come today)

Question for you: Does the manual describe the 1RMs or exercises a bit more detailed? I just don't get a few of them! Though the new Workout Manager is cool!

Today is my rest day and dh wants to go out soon.

I'm a bit upset at the moment as I had to knock on a neighbor's door to speak about the child who lives there :( I hated doing so but said child has been constantly yelling at my car screaming out the B word every morning when I have to stop at the Stop sign. I ended up reversing and had a word w/ said child which I probably should not have done but gone straight to the parents house instead. I did apologize to the parent saying that I should have gone to them 1st but anyways I just pray the issue is resolved and we can at least live as cordial neighbor's although I am now fearful that my cars may end up keyed up or something meh :confused: The family moved into the neighborhood not even a year ago (it's just been 6 months) and its just gotten worse and worse with the foul mouth. The parent did apologize but still I don't like having ill feelings with people who live around me.

Now I'm wondering if I did the right thing or if I should have kept quiet and not said anything to the parent and child blah.

I need a hug and chocolate now I absolutely abhor confrontations.:(

Vilma, ug! I hate confrontations, too, maybe even especially with neighbors -- it's just so uncomfortable. But hopefully since you went and talked with the parents, it may get better. Maybe if nothing new happens, you might want to give it a few days and talk to the parents again to thank them, or whatever is appropriate. I dunno. Here we are living on 15 acres and you'd think we wouldn't have neighbor problems, but we do! The annoying thing is that we have been so nice to them, but they don't see it. It has gotten better though, and I think it's because we just continued to put out that olive branch. Good luck!

Kathy! Congrats on getting STS!! Mine is not due until the 4th, and knowing my UPS guy, I won't get it til the 6th or 7th. I'm glad I wasn't counting on it for my Feb. rotation!! :)

Chris, thanks for pointing me to the CLX pages -- I have some but they were typed in by some random person, and there were errors, and well, the BB ones just look nicer.

I have to say I am so thankful to fitness freak and clx for pushing me into higher weights and going to failure. I'd never gone to failure before the FF Dec. rotation. Now it seems I'm doing it all the time! :) Today was CLX push 3, so heavy back and chest. I was going a fair bit heavier than Chalene!! I did chest press with a 65 pound barbell, and it actually wasn't that bad! In the end, I added on 2 sets of 12 pushups (honestly, what's a chest workout without some pushups anyway?! :p) and 200 kbell swings. Feeling good now, but I'm going to be tired! My 26 pound kbell felt light after all that heavy weight work!

Chris, tell me about your yoga..... I was supposed to go to a live class last night, but our friends from SF came down for dinner. We had a nice evening, of course, but I could have used that stretch! Wow are my glutes/hams sore this morning!!

Chris: Yes, the manel does explain the 1rm....and all the phases that I didn't really read in too much detail before...I am going to try and look through it today. But, I gotta get to the grocery store, the kids have an art class at the library and Chris has basketball practice tonight. So, not sure how much time I will have to look at it...I haven't looked at the new Workout Manager yet...I gotta do that too!!!UGH LOL..So little time!

Vilma: I hope everything gets worked out between you and the neighbors. It is tough to have that kind of situation..You did the right thing going to the parents. Maybe they will control their child. I would be so upset if my kids were doing things like that!!

Beth: I hope that UPS guy doesn't make you wait too long..I am going to start using in in Feb...Hoping to follow along with Cathe too...I don't have any Chalean. It is great that you benefited from it though.

Phsewww! Just got done with my "workout". I finished up all upper body 1RM's, except for a few 1 and 2 starred ones, and of course, the ones I don't "get". Thanks, Kathy! I can't wait to get mine to look through the book. It's like a huge mystery to me how to do a few of those 1RM's and it bugs me (can you tell? LOL!).

On the Yoga.. not good. It's Yoga By Tracey. I started up the Premix for "Post Upper Body Weight Work". Sounds good, right? Well the first move involves BALANCING ON ONE LEG while bent over , OTHER leg extended, both arms extended! For like 2-5 minutes! helllooooo! I just want to stretch! :eek: I started looking at a few other premixes , but I just couldn't after that. It annoyed me. I do just want to stretch. Maybe I'll do a stretchmax later if I have time (probably won't).

Vilma: Really? Only a few people call you Vil? I like it! I'm sorry about your confrontation. that would nerve me up too. I'd have to be pretty PO'd to do it, so the Pissed off part and the confronting part... Yeah, pretty much a chocolate binge! hope you get distracted enough not to!

Beth: Oh, you're welcome for that CLX link. That way you can print out as many as you want, right? I understand what you mean about FF pushing on the weights. You should see me doing the 1RM's. I really am picking bigger weights. And then , comparing myself to the "Average". That kind of freaks me out . I mean, I did the deadlifts, and my 1RM came to 82 lbs!! (I used 50, that wasn't THAT hard!). And the "Average" is 20! WTH? There are more like that , that make me wonder if I'm doing it right. But I did pick heavier weights because of FF's rotations too.

So we hired a guy to plow our driveway. It had iced over BIG time (on top of 5-7 inches of snow, not good), plus the huge mound at the end of our driveway. DH couldn't do the snowblowing yesterday (due to being on Vicodin.. LOL!). Anyhow, he charged us $40! :confused: Holy crap, I need to buy a plow for my Durango!

I really need to go out and get some groceries, Got to get some "soft foods" fo DH. He's really not feeling too bad today. Which I am grateful for (but I think he's even more grateful for!)

Hi all. Crazy, crazy morning here. Just work stuff bugging me. A bit overwhelmed. But, I have a job and I'm grateful for that!

Chris, wow, on the 82 pounds! I saw something in the forums where someone thought people might be entering in their weights different for dumbbells. Like if they were using 2 20-pound dumbbells they would enter 40 pounds and I guess it should be 20? Or the other way around. So, it was throwing off the averages. That's the kind of yoga that I cannot do!

Kathy, yes, we want STS details! When you have time, of course. ;)

Beth, wow, a 65-pound barbell? I would be so afraid it would come crashing down on me! I have noticed I'm feeling stronger. You know, the first couple weeks doing CLX I had that tired, blah feeling. This week I've been feeling great. It probably has more to do with cutting out all the sugar I was eating. I'm allowing myself one sweet something a day. It used to be much more! I'm finally down .5 pound from when I started. Hopefully it will keep moving down!

Vil(ma) ;), you were totally 100% justified yelling at that kid and going to his parents. How rude. How old is he? I would certainly want to know if my kid was doing something like that. I'd kill 'em! Not literally, of course, but that's just unbelievable rude.

Today's workout was Burn Intervals. I'm going to keep doing the CLX cardio until I get tired of them! I liked it today.

DH update - he finally picked up his prescription and is taking them. Came to his senses! Now he needs to start taking better care of himself.

Hi All

We're back home and my two younger kidlets should be getting home any moment.

I still feel a bit perturbed about this mornings incident as I've never had to deal with anything of that sort. I mind my own business but if someone needs a hand I have no problem helping out.

the child is a 13 yr old female, cute kid actually and I'm pretty sure she had no clue I was going to knock on her door once she got on the school bus. The mother at first was of course a bit defensive since the child called her mom to tell on me ;) but by the time she ( the mother) got to the corner stop sign I was on my way driving my children to school. So when I knocked after coming back home she knew who I was and of course the child did not tell her mother the truth as to what actually happened. Telling me her daughter does not lie ... as a parent of 3 children of my own I understood what she said ;). Anyhow she apologized for her daughter's behavior and did say she was very rude to me and she will be talked to.
Regardless I just don't want to deal with this nonsense any more and I pray its laid to rest.


Thanks for letting me know that it was ok for me to speak up. I'm a very quiet, shy introvert in person and don't like to deal with these type of things whatsoever.

Now I need to go and figure out what I'll be fixing for dinner here soon.

HOLA FRIENDS!!!!!! Oh my gosh! I've missed you guys so much!!!!!! I'm sorry I haven't been active as much. I've been trying to stay away from the computer so much since I was on it too much before. I only turn on my computer 3 times a day and limit myself to about 20 mins each time I turn it on. But, I thought to myself that is no reason not to be active here with you guys! I just really missed checkin in with you all and I hope I can be back here with you guys! I've been working out, but I'm on my rest week and will start working out again Monday and I can't wait! I hope everyone is doing SUPER well. I will check in here starting on Monday.

P.S. WOW! The workout manager looks AWESOME!!!!:eek:

I totally understand to online detoxing as I sometimes have to do it myself also lol when I get the chance to get online without getting interrupted by something.

Hey Vilma! Thanks! I'm so glad to be back! I really missed you all so much! DD told me that I was too much in the computer so that gave me a reality check, lol. I used to leave the computer on all day and now I turn it off so I won't be tempted to checking my email and stuff every 10 mins, LOL! DH is very impressed. It's almost been a month of just checking online 3 times a day so I hope I can keep it up:p
