Hi ladies!!
Hottie, how frustrating!! Good for you for getting in your workout despite the calamities! Don't get yourself down about gaining the weight, congratulate yourself for taking it off! That's a huge accomplishment!
Chris, I forgot you had asked about a stepboxing video. Kelly Coffey Meyers has two. They might be at collagevideo.com. She also has a website:
www.coffeyfit.com. I can't remember the names - I think they are just called "StepBoxing". The first one is shorter, but she moves really, really fast. It's a good workout, but I'm worried I'm going to trip over myself. The second one is longer and a more normal pace. I love that one. It does take a few times to get the choreo - it's not super tough, but she doesn't always cue that great and she goes right into the moves without alot of breakdown. But once you do it a few times, you appreciate that it's not broken down so much. I'm like you - I don't feel comfortable getting a massage 'cause it would be a stranger doing it. DH has suggested I get one a few times and I'm like, ew, no!! I'm sure it feels great, though.
Beth, don't feel bad about your weather! Enjoy it for us who are popsicles! I felt the same way about Burn Intervals. Good, but not as tough as Cathe. I forget who asked, but it was about 45 minutes. There were a few cardios that were pretty tough, though. I'm definitely feeling something today - don't know if it's left over from BC1 or new from BC2! I did get the 7th DVD, so next week I'm going to sub in those cardios.
My parents are doing OK. My dad now has some kind of bacterial infection that has left him even weaker. He's being treated for it, so we're hoping he's at least back to where he was when he goes home on the 22nd. My mom has a caregiver coming for 7 days a week, 4 hours. She's hoping to be able to cut out some of the hours. I told her let's just see how it goes, take it one day at a time. My dad is really excited to come home, though.
Last night was interesting dinner conversation. Ian, who is 11, told us that the school nurse came into their class and told them all that they stink and needed to shower everyday and wear deodorant. Now, I'm sure it was much more subtle than that, but that was Ian's version.

I had deodorant for them, but no one was using it, and honestly, they're not there yet, I haven't seen a need for it for them. But now, they all want their own - NO, we can't share one! So, that was our lovely dinner conversation!
Yep, it's cold here. About 10 below this morning! I had so many layers on I was almost sweating on my mile walk from the train to work. The school called last night with an automated message that the schools would be closed last night. The kids were thrilled. DH, not so much! He sleeps during the day - today, not so much! So, this morning, I'm working out and the phone rings. It's Ian's teacher telling us school was closed. OK. I start the workout back up and it rings again. Caitlyn's teacher. She called during the burpees, so I didn't rewind and do them over!
Gotta run...
