I am going for a very quick trip to Jackson Hole. I am meeting my son and we are going hiking in the Grand Tetons on Saturday. However, I will have about 8 hours to kill on Friday while I wait for him to arrive. I was planning to rent a car and go out by myself and see stuff since I really won't have any other opportunity.
Is there anyone who has been there, or is from there, that can tell me what I can comfortably do in 7-8 hours. I'll be starting out at the Jackson Airport. I think the south entrance to Yellowstone is more than an hour away. Is there great stuff to see in Jackson Hole without going to the park?
My DH and I are planning a 5 day trip back to Yellowstone in August so I don't feel like I need to see everything in 8 hours. I just want to do something kind of cool.
