^^ It's the weekend MELTERS! ^^

Allie - just thank your lucky stars that they're small... one of my dogs pukes all.the.time. And he weighs 62 lbs:p A shoelace? Ew!

Okay, kitchen floor and front hall floor are washed, I'm on my last load of laundry... can I relax now???

62 lbs!?!?!? Holy puke!!!

Shelley--I guess you and I were/are on on the same wavelength today--I cleaned my butt off. But my apartment is sparkling clean now. :) I love that feeling.

I never made it to my Dad's. I called him and asked him if he wanted to go to dinner (in a feeble attempt to have *some* sort of plans on a Saturday night:() but he already had dinner plans. Can you believe it? My 56 year old father has more friends and more plans that his 24 year old daughter. Kill me now.

Hi,

Shelly's right..be glad they are small. My friend with a Bernese Mountain dog took her into the vet because she kept throwing up..they x-rayed her and found a huge mass in her abdomen..my friend was so worried about a tumor and cancer...They operated and found a pair of panty hose and a pair of athletic socks..I guess she got into the laundry basket or something!

Here are a couple of pics:

Hey All!:)

Shelley, yes! Relax already woman! You are the most active chica I have ever seen in my life, I thought I was bad...did your housework take the fight outta ya?:7 What freakin nerve that woman with the nanny has. I mean please, if she does not cook, certainly with that sort of dough she could have the whole thing catered or something right? I think the berries and cream sound fabulous. OH! And of course you, Leanne and I and whoever else would like to can all get together, or just you and I or whatever!:7 I am so excited! I could get us a suite or something at the new Palazzo! Oh my goodness, then I could take you to the best little bistro on the strip...and then do whatever you guys wanted to, you would be my guests! Oh dear, I am getting all worked up.:7

Robin, is your DH a Dutchman?:p How cool if he is. Are you? No, you aren't right? Your dinner sounds so perfect. When I was little the big treat of the week was to have pancakes for dinner on Friday night.:9

Shannon, so you did Leg Blast eh?}( Good girl. Now I will have to do it this week so I can hurt along with you. The DOMS from that workout is killer!

Kristi, I hate housework too! Thankfully I have help (please do not hate me, but our house is too big for me to do by myself) but still, i have a thing about keeping our black granite floors clean, they never stay clean with a slobbering Newfie!

Leanne, that is wonderful news about Bliss Hips! I will have to do it now for sure. I promise you I will do it tomorrow, its my rest day, and that sounds perfect!Yes! you come too, pretty, pretty please! We would have so much fun, I would see to that. I am not much of a nightclub person anymore, but there are so many other things to do...plus you all could come over to my house (I live 5 minutes from the strip) and meet my lovely DH and George, who will probably say hi by trying to hump you...uh, George that is not my DH!}(

Lainie, you are hilarious! :p That is so funny, I was driving down the highway the other day and looked over, there was Elvis in a pink caddy driving along in full on costume.:) Glad you enjoyed a shake, boy, that solid food thing would drive me insane, and yeah for your new AC unit!

Allison, oh sick.x( Why do animals puke all the time anyway? Do your cats retch up fur balls too?:p

OK guys...I mailed all of you (Allison darling, even though you are the youngster of this group and probably are not thinking about wrinkles just yet, I will happily send you product, just PM me your address) product today. Shannon, I left out the Idebenol because it did not agree with you. And Lainie bug, I did not mail you anything yet because of what is going on with you skin-wise, let me know if you need or want more and I will ship out on Monday kay?Oh and Jennifer, I am not sure if you are around?

I also included a tube of our lip plumper, do not worry you will not
wind up with duck lips...and Kristi, I sent a lip plumper for each of your lovely lasses to try. :) Its clear, so don't worry. Hope you like it.

And since I did not have the original Strivectin stocked here at the house, I substituted our brand new Strivectin SPF instead, same stuff, only with sunscreen. You will also receive the serum, the hylexin, the idebenol...not the relacore, wasn't sure how you all felt about taking pills, so if you want to try it PM me kay? You will get your packages on Tuesday, Shelley, maybe a bit later than that?

I also went to Whole Foods...oh boy. Talk about expensive, but oh what a wonderful shopping experience! I was a good girl, but I did pick up a container of the Fage yogurt everyone is raving about. I hate yogurt, but will try it. Got lots of veggies and lots of healthy stuff. It was fun, my wallet did not think so.

Okey dokey...I just wrote a book. I swear my DH is deaf, he plays his movies so loud the windows practically rattle!x( I am going to go mess with him....

Deb! I am so in love with Keegan, I just want to scoop him up and kiss his little face and smell his puppy breath! He looks like a toy he is so cute!:p

Oh Tneah, you are my fairy godmother! Thank you , thank you, thank you. No, my DH isn't PA Dutch. He is part German, part French. I am half Armenian, half Heinz 57, but grew up in the heart of PA Dutch country. My neighborhood friend was Bevvy Swinehart (pronounced Beffy Svinehart) - ach naw.

Shelley, relax! Relax! A good cleaning is good for the soul, isn't it?

Allie, I have to pose the gross question. Was it a shoelace, or perhaps a worm? Kitties can get parasites. Mine get tape worm from all the mice they eat and we have to dose them every 3 or 4 months. Nothing grosser then seeing a maggot-like worm segment hanging off your pet's butt. Sorry, TMI? That's the microbiologist in me, I guess.

Deb, I had to show DD the picture of Keegan. What a cutie pie.

Lainie, there is a piece of shortcake with your name on it. It's nice and soft, after you douse it with strawberry juice and milk.

And Leanne, you are on the list for apple dumpling dinner.

I gotta go. I'm so tired I'm dizzy. I wonder if I'm still having a bit of jet lag? Tneah, does your DH have any trouble when he does business in DC for a couple days? I haven't had a good nights sleep since we got back and I'm totally wiped out by 8pm. Night.

I'm back, you all inspired my own little cleaning spree!:) I did a load of laundry, cooked a large piece of chilean sea bass (tastes like butta), wiped down the visible windows--George slobbers on them too...mopped my kitchen floor, the fronts of the counters-those get so gross don't they, the guest house kitchen floor--the boys will be down tomorrow...oh, the "boys" are guys we have from the company come down and work on ads during the week--that was for Kristi, Alli and Kara..whew! I feel so accomplished, now must do manicure on my big ole' nasty "man hands".:p I tore a few nails in my cleaning frenzy.

Robin, so funny, your DH is what I have always told folks I was, half German (true story) and half French (I made that up) when I was growing up..yes I told very tall tales as a youngster.Strange about DH, he gets right back on track when he gets home, he doesn't sleep well at night without me (ahhhh)so never gets alot of rest when he is away which is why he comes home and crashes like he is doing right now. Interesting "combo" you are Miss Robin. Aremanian,Dutch country....I lived in Wilkes Barre, PA did I tell you that? Sweet dreams...

Okay, now I am jacked up, but want to relax already....

Okay, so I'm back to attempt some personal interaction, and it's so late that probably no one will even read this.
Oh, well . . . The girls are packed and ready to go, I think. Fortunately, if they forget anything, I think they'll be able to get it there since this camp is at Copper Mountain resort.

Deb -- That little "pipsqueak" sounds like a very tough and social little guy! Darling, darling pics!!

Shelley -- Definitely relax -- I envy your productiveness today!! I hope Karen is up to company soon. Can you easily go see her? Good luck tomorrow -- hope you can relax and enjoy despite all the demands/idiosyncracies/etc.

Kara -- How's the door and DH's attitude?

Leanne -- I'm so glad today is a better day! We watched "A Mighty Wind" -- my DD loved it!!! My foot is feeling much better. Did you order the dress? When is that wedding?

Allison -- You can be an honorary Texan since you spelled "y'all" right. ;-) Congrats on the productive cleaning day! How is your dad doing? We love "The Cutting Edge," too. Sorry about the pukey cat -- hope it wasn't on anything you had cleaned!

Lanie -- Yea for the new A/C!!! Now, if you can just get back to solid food and fiber. :)

Robin -- I'm so glad you had a nice birthday. Do you have your pilot's license? My mother got hers when she was 50-ish; it was just something she always wanted to do! What kind of work do you do? OMG, your shortcake sounds delicious!!! What kind of pie did you make?

Shannon -- Hope you had a nice visit with your family. Glad you had such a great workout! Enjoy your yard work tomorrow!

Jennifer -- Hi -- I hope you are doing well!

Tneah -- I wish we were all close enough to party (or just hang out) together! My girls are excited, but a bit nervous about camp -- there are not a lot of kids from their school at our church, so they don't know too many people very well. I know they'll have a great time, though. Thankfully, they aren't too boy crazy yet -- they are so much wiser, more mature, and centered than I was at that age!!! They have VERY high standards for the boys they like! I can't wait to get the treats you sent -- thank you! thank you! And the girls will be so excited to get the lip plumper! Thank you for thinking of them! They are lip gloss aficianados.

Hi everyone! I just want to say that I am thinking of y'all. :) It has been a crazy day here. I have half a kitchen floor. The other half is subfloor covered with a thick layer of glue residue...fun. Robin--don't rip out any flooring that is working!

I hope to be around more tomorrow! I miss you!

Have a good weekend!

Kara :)

Hey, Leanne,
I'm starting to think about what I'm going to do after the challenge is over next week, and I was looking at some of Debbie/Fitnessfreak's rotations. Yours looks great! I was thinking about doing her Leg Blast Rotation with a couple of substitutions where I don't have the right DVDs. Your 8 day idea is pretty good --I might do that in order to throw in more upper body, like PUB or some other UB premix (since I'm holding strong against KBs -- I must since I just ordered STS this week). ;-)

Good Sunday morning all.

Kara, LOL. I will remember your words of wisdom concerning flooring. Is the door in?

Kristi, have no fear of late posting. I think most of us check the next day to see what we may have missed. No, I can't fly. My SIL and her DH both do. They have a small plane. When they come to visit from their home in VA, they fly up, meaning we have to be their chauffeur. Very convienient for them. A pain in the buttinski for us. I'm a microbiologist in a hospital lab. And finally, the pie is apple. Do you have butterflies about tomorrow? You and your DH will be in my prayers.

Time for me to get to work. See the rest of you later.

Good morning!
There's a flurry of activity around my house this morning -- the girls are getting ready to leave for a week, DH is mowing the lawn, and I'm about to go pay some bills, etc., and try to fix a decent Father's Day breakfast. Seems DH is getting a little short-changed this year on his day -- we even gave him his FD gifts last week when we gave him his Bday gifts. Shame on us! We'll go to church at noon, then grab a quick bite before the girls have to be back there to leave.

Robin -- Family is just so funny how they seem to focus on their convenience without fully evaluating the impact of that "convenience" on others. I am impressed by your profession (I couldn't think of a way to respond to what you do without sounding like a kid -- "wow!" :)) I do have a lot of butterflies about tomorrow and Tuesday -- and lots of feelings that I'm not really able to express. Preparing for this has been such a strange experience. It's definitely DH's thing (passion) -- something he feels "called" to do -- and I feel like I'm just doing it "for him" so he doesn't have to do it alone and so that he would actually be able to do it since it's been a desire for a few years. The primary point has been to raise money for and awareness of the plight of the homeless, in general, and Mobile Loaves & Fishes, specifically. The secondary point is to celebrate life -- particularly in light of Todd's cardiac arrest. In telling our friends and family about it, the reactions have been so strange -- some people have really been unexpectedly moved by the effort and have said such very supportive things and made generous contributions, and then some of our closest friends have just basically ignored us. In a couple of instances, that's been really painful for me. Not to get too spiritual about it, I know God will use our efforts for His purposes -- that's what this has been about; it's not about us -- there are just some aspects of it that have been somewhat trying for me. Anyway, I'm sorry for rambling -- I just needed to get that off of my chest, I guess. We will very much appreciate your prayers!

I'll be back much later -- after my babies are off on their long bus ride to CO. (If you are a pray-er, please pray for their safety.)

Hi, Melters -

Wow. You ladies are so special. I knew stuff was going on, so I went back and read the rest of Friday's thread, then all the way through this one. We are so lucky to have such a caring and supportive group! Thank you all for being the wonderful women that you are.

Okay, was that too mushy? I hope not. I just thought it needed to be said.

Leanne - do you really think 25% is too high? I was thinking it was in the normal range for women (maybe I'm wrong - I need to check...), especially if you haven't been lifting for long. Besides, I can tell by your pics that you're not fat, no how, no way. I'm glad you're feeling better now. Please don't obsess over it. You and I both know how easy it is to get into obession mode! Remember how strong and healthy you are, and how much stronger you're getting every day.

Tneah - as you pointed out, your house keepers are fat. Therefore, they simply don't have any room to speak. If they actually cared about their own health, then maybe their comments would be worth something, huh?

Kristi - when does your challenge start? Monday? Good luck, and have fun! I know you'll be working so hard that "fun" might not be the first thing on your mind.... but isn't that sort of why Todd started this? To really appreciate life and all he and you can do? To me, that's FUN!

Robin - did you get enough rest, you poor thing? I still think you need to find another job where they don't work you so dang hard, and give you such a crappy schedule. I'm a fine one to speak. The job market really stinks!

Shelley - how did the visit go? Dare I ask? I doubt it improved your mood very much. I hope you feel better. Maybe you can pick a fight with the Poodle or something to make you feel better. }(

Lanie - I hope more fiber gets rid of the fuzz on your tongue! Sheesh, you have a lot of things thrown at you. If your teeth are still sore, I'd definitely take meds. It would be well worth it to get rid of that sort of unpleasantness!

Allison - I sort of laughed when you said your dad has more friends than you. Hey woman, join the crowd. Aside from you online friends, I have ONE. Just one friend. She lives about an hour away, and I hardly ever see her. So, are you enjoying the day in your nice clean house?

Okay, I think I got everyone... I hope so!

My sister and family got here a lot later than planned. So I just kept working and got all the yard work done! Then over to the parents' place, where I proceeded to eat rather uncleanly. :9 On top of a "snacky" sort of dinner, I had FOUR chocolate chip cookie bars. OMG, were they good. So okay, there's my cheat day, huh? I have some very nice, healthy, clean food I will eat today. I promise. ;)

Wow. Since I got so much done yesterday, I get to mess around today. I'm going to attempt to fix that watercolor I just did - there's a part that really bugs me. Wish me luck. I'll probably ruin it. Workout will be Muscle Max and the weighted abs from B&G. I might take a walk later, too. It'll give me a better idea of how my calf is doing. Just a regular walk, not a power walk or anything.

Oh - shoot. When did I turn on the water outside? I'm watering the flower beds and have no idea how long it's been going!

Today is also a big motocross race on my parents' property. x( x( x( I hate it. Therefore, I'm staying as far away as possible. I'm not exactly a motorcycle fan, and I really don't like it that all those bikes are tearing up the forests and fields. I used to like to walk up there, but now I never do because there is NOwhere you can walk without crossing that blasted track half a zillion times. Oh well. There are plenty of other places for me to walk.

Looks like I've just written an epic novel. I think I'd better get up off my duff and get moving. I hope all you special ladies have a very special rest of the weekend! I'll see you Monday.

Just running in quickly to say and give everyone a big happy Sunday hug!

Busy day ahead... I got up and did BM2 cardio and weights premix this morning, cut Chris's hair, now I'm shoveling in cereal (sorry Lainie!) before I have to get started on garden stuff and making food for this afternoon. Oh joy.

I just found out there's a Crossfit gym really close by, so I might check it out today!

Happy Father's Day to all the Melty dads!

I slept in until 6:00 this morning, which was SOOO nice! Woo hoo! I'm trying to stay in positive mode, too, and am doing my best to not obsess about food/eating. In the spirit of June Fun, I might end my week of full-body workouts early and start that new legs rotation I posted yesterday.

Today I feel sad b/c the rest of the family is going out on that uber-expensive boat cruise that we decided to opt out of. I told my dad that we would take him and his wife out for a movie and lunch later this week since DH will be starting summer break on Tuesday.

Tonight we're going to see _All's Well that Ends Well_ in that lovely outdoor theatre, which should be fantastic. The theatre moved to a repertory format for the summer Shakespeare series, which means that instead of all three plays being spread out a bit more, we'll be seeing one tonight, one Thursday night, and one the week after that. Should be a lot of fun! It's a cozy theatre where you bring a blanket, and it's right next to the SD Zoo, so you can hear the animals calling out a bit. Of course, we're hitting that fondue restaurant (where we've been meaning to go for ages) beforehand, so it won't be the cleanest night of eating. Ah, well!

Shelley -- Glad you got over that slump yesterday! I think that that's a fabulous idea to just bring plain strawberries over to Chris' sister's house. Is this the woman, too, who has said awful things to you before or was that someone else? Sending you {{{HUGS}}} that today goes well!

Allison -- Glad you feel good about getting all that cleaning done yesterday! A shoelace, huh? Gag! Will you be able to see your dad today? Have you decided what to do about using your kettlebell a bit more? Not sure if you got my PM from the other night, but the Extreme Cardio DVD is a lot more intense than The KB Way one. Did you get to sleep in again this morning? Hope so! :)

Deb -- I was thinking about the calcium thing, and, I'm sure you know this already, but do you split your calcium up into two or three doses a day? I've read that the body can only process about 500mg per dosage, and the woman who did the scan confirmed that on Friday when I asked about it. Oh, Keegan is just ADORABLE! He has so much sass and personality.

Tneah -- Oh, you're such a sweetie pie! It would be so much fun for all of us to do a visit to see you in the fall! I would LOVE for that to work out. We could eat tons of ice cream and pig out! Don't worry -- I've never been a nightclub person! ;-) And hopefully Georgie wouldn't get too frisky! Yes, do the Bliss Hips today and tell me what you think! Oh, I never PM'd you my address again for products. Did I get a goodie package, too?! :) You are SUCH an incredible sweetie! Like Robin said, you are our Fairy Godmother of Beauty! I think we need to get you a special tiara to wear! You did quite the cleaning yesterday afternoon. Did you get to spend some quality time with DH?}(

Robin -- Thank you for putting me on the list for the apple dumpling dinner! Yummy!:9 Hope that you're getting some better sleep after having jet lag. Have you tried taking melatonin or valerian root? That can help me get back into regular sleep mode.

Kristi -- Yes, like Robin said, I think most of us go back and re-read what happened the day before to see who posted late. Only one more day until the Challenge! I saw your post on the Open Discussion forum, and will be sending you and Todd all my prayers and good vibes. I saw what you said to Robin about how some "friends" have been ignoring your Challenge. What an odd reaction! Oh, and I sent off a check yesterday, but I'm not sure if it made it out before the mail carrier came, so it probably won't get there until after the Challenge. Hope that's alright! Will you be carb-loading again tonight in preparation for tomorrow? Will the girls be gone a week? I'll pray for their safety, too. I bet you'll miss them terribly, but it might be nice to have a few days to recover and relax . . . and DO NOTHING once you're finished on Tuesday! Glad you liked _A Mighty Wind_! I'm sure that Todd doesn't feel short-changed at all; his lovely family is obviously thinking of him and giving him all their love! :)Let me know, too, if you want more info about BFFM. By the way, though, you certainly do not look like you have any fat at all on that skinny frame of yours to lose! :)

Kara -- You poor thing with that floor and door! Did the door get put in before the storm came? We miss you, and are sending you all our positive house-repair vibes so that you can get those renovations done and come back to playing with us! :)

Shannon -- It's so great to see you here again on a Sunday! I loved reading about all that you've been up to this weekend. Mushy is good! :) I know -- aren't we lucky to be a part of such an amazing, supportive group of women?! Yes, I've been in Obsession Mode lately, even though we're supposed to be in June Fun mode! I thought that 25% seemed really high, but you don't think so? I didn't want to actually lose any more weight, so I think I'm going to just concentrate on continuing with the weight lifting and let things happen slowly. I hope you can get your watercolor where you want it to be today. And can you play some nice music to drown out the noise of the motocross? Hope you have a lovely day, and that your calf doesn't act up during your walk!

Lainie -- How are the teefies and the belly today? Any better? Are you taking Brian out today for Father's Day? Of course, a nice day indoors with that new air conditioner blasting out some cold air sounds great, too! :)

Jennifer -- Where are you???? Are you OK? Please check in with us if you're lurking out there! Let us know you're alright!

I'll BBL to see what's going on! :)

Hey Shelley -- Looks like we were posting at the same time! Sounds like you have a busy morning before you leave. Let us know how that Crossfit gym looks! Their whole fitness philosophy sounds so interesting! :)

Good morning,
I slept in again today until about 9. I'm sitting here sipping my second cup of coffee and I just finished a delicious bowl of kashi. :)

I did nothing again last night. Nothing. A Saturday night and I was asleep by 9:30. I am in the worst funk. I miss my ex-SO so much it hurts so much. I need him in my life so badly but he won't speak to me. I think I made the right decision because I just don't have those romantic feelings for him anymore and he always treated me more like a roommate than a girlfriend, but I am just so lonely without him. I want to hear his voice so bad. I keep hoping he'll call or email or text me but it doesn't happen. I want to call him so bad but I've tried and he won't pick up or return my calls. He returned some boxes I had left at his house and gave me the key back to my apt. and I just can't believe it's really over. Plus, I haven't spoken to or seen my mom in weeks.

My Dad is golfing today so I may see him tonight. I have no plans for today. Again. Ugh.

Sorry for the self-absorbed post but I'm just not up to personals at the moment. I'll be back I'm sure. I hope you all have wonderful mornings/afternoons. Love ya bunches.

Allison

Happy Sunday All!:)

Happy Fathers Day to all the Melters Dads today!!:7

I sent my dad a few shirts from every man's favorite store: Tommy Bahama's. He adored them. My dad is so awesome, I always am wishing he lived closer so I could see him more often, he has a super great sense of humor...very funny man. He is very handsome too.:)

http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj39/tneah/Family Pictures/027_23A.jpg

I had to post of pic of my daddy today! That is us this past Thanksgiving, and yep, thats the wicked stepmom...well, not really wicked, just mentally "not all there. Geez, my hair was short....

Love you dad!

Moving on...

Shelley, sending you "coping vibes" today! Is it Fathers Day in Canada? Or was that just a silly question? Congrats on the workout, sounds like a good one actually. Crossfit looks like its one hard arse workout, funny, I was looking into a bootcamp workout class they offer here in Vegas...its outside and looks like alot of fun.

Robin, you have to work on a Sunday? Oh dear. Hope you at least get off early, or are you getting ready for church?

Leanne, 25 percent is healthy and normal, not high at all. Happy to see you have a good attitude about your workouts and eating, keep at it, its something we all have to do for the rest of our lives, so its nice to take it one day at a time right?
And of course I sent you product silly! I sent everyone stuff, except Lainie bug cause of her skin stuff right now and Allison. But will send them stuff if they want of course!

Kristi, I am so in awe of you and DH, you have been through so much and are giving back in such a positive way! All my good vibes are sent your way this week. Your daughters will be safe and sound and have a wonderful time!Oh, they may not like the lip plumper, its not really goopey, I personally love my gooey lipgloss and this isn't like that, but thought they would have fun with it anyway.

Shannon, that motorcross just sounds irritating quite frankly, I am not a fan of loud engine noises at all, and plus they are tearing up the pretty forest. Oh well, have a wonderful day, hug your dad, and eat well today!

We are going to have a light lunch/brunch today before heading home ot meet the boys who will be here early this afternoon. I am going to cook them a healthy dinner in celebration of Fathers Day. Grilled salmon over salad and green beans.
Will also do cardio this am and then the Bliss Hips tonight cause I promised Leanne. bbl..to see how everyone else is doing!

PS. I am the one on the left by the way.

Allison, we were posting at the same time chica. ((hugs)) to you sweetie. Go get the book "Straight up and Dirty". Seriously, think you might like it.

Tneah -- First off, I know I've said this before, but you sure are GORGEOUS, babe! You also look like you're at least ten years younger than you are! It's that beautiful spirit of yours and all that hard work that's keeping you young and healthy! :) Your dad is one handsome man, too, as is Mitch. What a great photo of you, your dad, and Evil Witch. I'm glad he loved the shirts you sent him. Is that your kitchen in the photo? It's lovely! Oh, and thank you sooooo much for sending the goodies, Fairy Godmother of Beauty! You're spoiling all of us melty gals! Thanks for the sweet words about the body fat. I'm still feeling a bit stressed about it. Right now, like I said, I'm down to about 115-116 pounds at 5'4" and I'm wearing a size 0 or 2 (I was a size 6 before I lost the 16 pounds), but do you think I should to lose a bit more weight to get off some of this FLAB? I don't really know what to do, and am feeling a bit frustrated. I kept thinking that I'd continue to do what I'm doing, b/c I guess it is working. Sigh. Sorry to be a downer! I really am trying to work on being more positive. And yes, you need to do Bliss Hips today, OK? You promised, right?;-) Just wait until you get to the section where you're supposed to laugh out loud. It feels so silly, and yet so good! :) Tell me what you think!

Oh, Allie, sending you great, big {{{HUGS}}}! Did it just not work out because you felt more like a friend with him? Is he not talking to you b/c he is just too hurt? Maybe you could try calling him again or emailing him and letting him know how you feel. Just be sure that it's HIM you miss, and you're not just feeling lonely. Sometimes relationships just need a little spark to light things up so it doesn't just feel like that guy you're living with is some old guy pal. I know that when DH and I are around each other a lot over the summer (we both teach, so have summers off from work), things can get too much like we're just friends. Leanne, you are so sweet, I', "ok" on some days, but mostly am pretty much a dork. :p My daddy however is quite the handsome man isn't he? I say dump the witchy woman and get yourself a fine foxy caring one daddy-o! But I have been saying that forever, its his life and I just have to support him you know?

OK, question. Take a peek at Cathe in the early days, she has a higher bodyfat in her earlier workouts then she does today. Muscle maturity,,, it takes time with the weights over a number of years to achieve that muscle hardness and maturity, it will come I promise.

I have it to a degree, but with my particular body type, its easily covered in fat if I slack off...wish I could slack off more but I cannot if I want to have any degree of leanness. You will also learn what works diet-wise for your body, I cannot eat soy foods...they wind up bloating me and retaining water. They can also raise estrogen levels to a degree, which isn't that great for fat loss...soy is overrated. They are just starting to understand its not the wonder food everyone thought it was.
Maybe its great for post-menopausal women, but otherwise, not so much. Just my humble opinion. Plus, alot of people are allergic to soy which can cause the bloating, etc...

I do not do well with higher carbs, where someone else can eat more carbs...its that fine tuning that really takes years to perfect. It is a process. I believe Cathe has even stated that in her Ask Cathe forum. You are doing amazing well with your diet,it just might take you awhile to "fine-tune" it...

You also are in the process of "building a muscle base" the muscle you are building now is the good stuff! If I were you, I would continue with the heavier weight workouts, keep on with that. You are changing your body muscle/skeletal wise but also changing your neurological system and a host of other things, building that "muscle memory"...good stuff. Does this make sense? I knew when I started my program I was starting off with a "muscle memory" advantage and that my body would respond right away from all those years I put into building a base.

Geez, I hope I do not sound like a quack. Its hard for me to explain. But suffice to say, the best is yet to come chica (I have said that before)and you are doing great.:)

One more thing that has made a difference in my own training. I use these supplements from Mr. Trainer man. They keep your levels of DHEA which is a precursor to HGH-important for overall health and muscle building...I have a recovery mix, a pre-workout mix and a post-workout mix plus glutamine which I take every night before bedtime. I love these! They dissolve in the mouth, and come in these tubs that last forever. They aid in muscle repair and recovery, energy levels-naturally and are full of branched chain amino acids. OK, enough of my going on and on. But these have made a difference for me.
