It's so nice to be appreciated

I came back to work after a nice vacation break and my supervisor came up to me and said "Oh my God, I'm I glad YOU'RE back. Nothing went right the whole time you were gone. You are worth your weight in gold." Then he said "Please don't ever leave again."

He really meant it, which makes me wonder what happened while I was gone. We were talking once about supervisors who get upset when people take long breaks and he said to me "You can do whatever you want because you WORK - and I always know it's going to get done."

Finally. A supervisor who appreciates my contribution!
