Hey Ladies,

Your going to be so proud - I did chins today! And my wrist didn't hurt! I took the kids to the movies this morning - Alvin & the Chipmunks!
Here's this morning's workout!

5
Chin Ups
5

Superset A
1-Legged Squats
8/8/8 - BW ***These are done with one leg held out front***
Chin-Ups
8/7/6 ***was happy with this since I haven't done chins in a while***

Superset B
DB Split Lunge (a/k/a Static)
8/8/8 - 35's
Stability Ball Curl Ups
15/15/15

Superset C
One Arm Row
8/8/8 - 47#
Mountain Climbers
12/12/12 - each side

Then interval cardio with 6 rounds of 60/60 ratio. Used KickMax challenge and lengthen some of the drills with lunges and jacks to make a minute. Did front-back jacks, left side kicks, right side kicks, zig zags, jumps & tucks then jump kicks.

It was a chinning day!!! I had planned to come home and do B&G and chinups. Well, sis called and wanted to meet for dinner after work. So we had dinner and a glass of wine. I made it home around 7:30- way to late to do B&G. I bought some more ankle wts today a pair of 5 pounders (10# total). My inital plan was to take some of the wt out and do chinups with 6 pounds total. I got home and said what the heck and did them with the total 10#s. I did 3 sets of 4 and then it went down hill LOL. After that I did 4 sets of 2 and 1 single for a total of 21 with the 10#s. For good measure, I did 1 set of 4 with the wt still on, but used my lightest band for assistance. These kicked my bootie }( }( Quit frankly I was suprised at my doing three sets of 3. I can feel it in my back now!!!

Hope you all have a good evening!!

Hey Ladies,

Did 4ds HIS repeating the first & second combos & blasts. Haven't done this one in awhile. It was fun. Seemed easier after having done Amy's ASC. I really need to get ASC II.

Catherine - You are a chinning maniac!!

OK, I did B&G overall legs premix this evening (since I was supposed to do it last evening). OMG  I thought if she said walking lunges one more time I was gonna collapse. I will be feeling this for sure tomorrow.

Hi Ladies,

Just returned from the doctor's. While I feel better the sore throat is lingering. Was another TT day for me.

Superset A
RDL
8/8/8 - 110#
DB Chest Press
8/8/8 - 41's

Superset B
Reverse Lunges
8/8/8 - 37's
One Arm Shoulder Press
8/8/8 - 27's

Then did 6 rounds of intervals at a 30/90 ratio. Did power 15's, straddle jacks, straddle hops, air jacks, burpees and suicides.

Catherine - I know exactly what you mean about those walking lunges. Been there, done that.

Linda, I can not imagine doing intervals after that wt work }(

This morning I did LM step without the blasts and did weighted pullups. This is the first time I added wt to my pullups- only 2 pounds total. I did: 5,5,4,4,4. I kept the wts on and did some with the light band too. It's amazing how hard 2 pounds can make these

We need reports from Briee, Marcy and Joanne!!

Oh and can I say that I still miss Sooooooooooooosan!!!!!! :(

Catherine - Nice job on the pullups! Can I ask what the end goal is? And as far as my workouts, I can tell you I am sleeping well at night again!

Hi Chinsters-

I've been doing a chin here and there. We have had family visiting for the last two weeks. My workouts are suffering. Hope to get on my bike tomorrow.

I miss Sooooosan too. I wonder if she pops in on the forum once in a while.

Joanne

Joanne, I gotta get busy and make sure I have all of the little things- toothpaste, 3oz stuff for carry on. I so dread packing anymore because of the restrictions. I understand the need though. I just pray with the airline industry in such a mess that no one's flights get cancelled or delayed.

I just finished GS C&T/BSB premix. Man, what a workout. I really should do some pullups. Don't know if I can after all of that :+

Briee, Marcy, Linda how ya doing?

Oh and Linda did you decide on a name???

Did 4 DS HIS.

Catherine - No name yet. The last one I sent you my BIL thought it appealed only to women.

Linda, as always great workout. And way to go on those chins!! BTW how did you workup to one legged squats? How deep can you go? I have tried them and just can not seem to go down very low at all. Should start holding on to something and work on it???

I did LIC cardio blast premix today. Tomorrow is B&G again with chinups!!

Hey Ladies,

Back from the movies! Here is this morning's torture. Just Kidding!

Superset A
RDL
8/8/8 - 114#
DB Chest Press
8/8/8 - 42's (struggled to get the last reps, but I did it!)

Superset B
DB Reverse Lunge
8/8/8 - 38's
One Arm Shoulder Press
8/8/8 - 28's

Then did six rounds of suicides at a 30/not quite 90 ratio.

Catherine - I didn't work up to the one legged squats, I just did them. And I can't quite get to parallel or 90 degrees probably more like 100 or 110. I'll have to admit I've considered holding on to something, but the TT manual doesn't offer than as an option. On the rotation you can do either barbell squats or the one legged ones, so I choose the challenge of course.

Linda, I think I'll start holding onto my power rack and doing some one-legged squats that way. Aren't those also called pistols??

This morning I did SZ and weighted chinups with 10 pounds again. Improved this week (but took longer rest between the last 2 sets). I did 5 sets of 4 and also did 2 additional reps with each set assisted with my lightest band. I am very pleased with that workout :D

Briee, Joanne, Marcy what's up??

Afternoon Ladies,

I did Imax2 intervals 6-10 premix. And that was enough I'm tired.

Catherine - I have not heard them called pistol squats but I can see how that name would apply.

Linda here is a youtube video and he shows a modification using a bench. I may try that. I think Cathe uses one-legged squats in STS, so I better get to practicing }( I do not have the flexibility to go low though. I will try to workup to parallel.
