Istrength workouts

Hi Gang,

Do any of you use I-strength workouts in the weightroom at the gym? Can this be done or will I look silly? I am thinking of ordering and downloading one, but if I can't use it at the gym, I won't use it....

Thanks in advance for your help!

Steph

I'd love to hear about this as well. I think most of them are geared for equipment in the gym, but I'd like to hear a review from someone who's actually used one.

I wish the clips on iTrain's web site were longer so we could get a better feel for the w/o.

Gayle,

I was just thinking the same thing! The clips are not nearly long enough. Perhaps if we give the suggestion, they will make them longer.

I am hoping someone replies. I need to do more strength training at the gym (they have fantastic childcare) and there are no classes at night. If I could find something motivating that I could do in the weightroom, that would be awesome.

I have an Istrength work out but haven't gotten the chance to try it out yet. There are some that are geared for the gym and others that can be done anywhere so either way you should be ok to do them at the gym as long as your gym has things like dumbbells/bands for it's members to use at their convenience as well a an area to work out in if you are not using the machines.

HTH some!:)

Hey! I have purchased a couple of I Strength workouts, and yes, they are geared for the gym. I find them very difficult to use - the cueing isn't so great, and you need to be able to get to the equipment you need quickly. The ISculpt workouts are great once you get the hang of them - Grace works your butt off!! ITread is good, too, although her speeds are a little fast for me - I'm short and can't run/jog as fast as her 'numbers.' They are good for on the road!!!

I downloaded some iClimb, iTread, iSculpt, and iStretch. So far, I have just done iClimb #7 and it kicked my behind! I think I might try an iTread tomorrow.

I have a few istrengths and absolutely love them.
most have exercises you may need to use gym equipment but you could easily modify to use at home. there are two of them that are specifically for use at home. istength #5 is one of them..i always get doms}( :7

I actually like them a lot. Nick has a real nice voice and the instructions are good. He assumes though that you know what you are doing. It is best when you use it in the gym. It moves fast but you can hit pause between exercises. My only problem is the music in some of the workouts, it is too "rapy" to my taste. But overall they are great and well rounded. Definitely there is a little more emphasis on upperbody, except maybe in istrenght 1, but you can't blame Nick, he is a guy after all. If I want more lower body I just add a little barre workout with Grace. The best thing with itrain is the "mix and match" factor.
