is your job in medical billing and codeing?

I'm currently going to a local tech. college for medical billing and was wondering the yearly salary,I went to a couple website about salaries,but wanted a "real" person's view.Is this job stressful,I know most jobs can be.Was it hard to find a job after school?I'm in my third class,anatomy,and its pretty much everthing i was told,hard and confuseing!but reguardless I plan to finish,even if I decide to do something else.

My next door neighbor/friend did this (she's now an office manager in a dr. office). Let me first point out I live in a very expensive area & salaries tend to be a bit higher.

From what I got from her experience it wasn't a very stressful job, but of course much of this depends on the personalities of your boss(es). The salaries are fair--I believe she started in the 20s. With about 10 years' experience she's now making about $40K as an office manager in a pretty stressful environment (her boss is insane), which is really not much money for this region.

I know I'm finishing the med.billing program,and when my kids both go to school,(in about 4 yrs)I'll pursue my dream of being a pharmacist!
