Is there an optimum sequence?

Hi Cathe (and everyone else too)!

I've just added SB/SJP, PUB/PUL, ME/BC & CM/CK dvds to CTX & C&W/Imax2.

With regard to a rotation, is there an optimim sequence of workouts per week, ie 3 cardio, 3 weight or 5 cardio, 2 weight etc or should I just rotate the dvds until I've been through all the workouts? Does it matter which workouts are grouped together in a week?

Aiming to lose another 14lbs, tone and gain lots of lean muscle! Have 1hr/day x 5 days week to workout plus another possible 30mins on an additional day.

Have already lost 11lbs thanks to your workouts but now I've got more choice, I'd like some expert advise to get the most out of my workouts!

Hi Andrea! If you want to lose 14 pounds and gain lean muscle, then I would suggest doing 4 to 5 cardio workouts per week and work all major muscle groups 2 times per week. Of course this is a generalization and just one suggestion of what you can do. Ultimately you will know your body best and what it responds too. Once you hone in on that, all favorable routines still need to be slightly tweaked to keep getting results.

Try this for a month:

WEEK 1 through 3

Mon: Step Blast
Tues: PUB plus a 15 minute light run
Wed: Imax 2
Thurs: PLB plus a 15 minute interval run
Fri: SJP
Sat: 10 minute abs of choice and 20 minute stretching
Sun: OFF

Week 4 through 6

Mon: CM
Tues: CK
Wed: BC
Thurs: CTX cardio only (your choice)followed by 10 minutes abs
Fri: ME
Sat: 10 minute abs of choice and 20 minute stretching
Sun: off

Week 7 through 9

Mon: C&W
Tues: PLB
Wed: PUB plus 15 light run
Thurs: Imax 2
Fri: PLB
Sat: 30 minute moderate and steady run
Sun: Off

Week 10 and 11

CTX series...one per day and Sunday off

Week 12

Mon: SJP
Tues: OFF
Wed: ME
Thurs: 40 minute interval run
Fri: CK
Sat: BC
Sun: off
