<---tells Maeghan that <--- has one Belgian/Appaloosa cross, which was born in the dirt right in front of the barn. She was an "accident" when the mom jumped the fence and joined up with the neighbor's stud.
<---says this horse is my "baby" even though she's huge - just as sweet as can be, but getting old (17 yrs) and is slightly arthritic
<---says horse #2 was bred to be a paint but only has one white foot and a blaze, so <--- got her cheap. She's pretty short but not a pony, and can be pretty ornery.
<---hasn't ridden in years, and pretty much treats the horses like big dogs, you know?
<---has also had six horses at one time, way back in high school, most of them actually ponies
<---has never shown or competed, but bets it's pretty cool
<---just used to ride around home, down country roads and stuff
 
<--competeing is a blast
<--hope to get back to it, maybe this summer
<--did 4H for years
<--do dressage, huntseat, and show jumping
<--horse and <--finished top of our game the year before <--left for USAF, we won all our classes
<--was so much fun and miss it terribly
<--love riding, and am curious how much better <--seat will be since working legs so much with Cathe
<--hope to get up on horse this weekend when it's not raining

<---thinks riding the old arthritic horse might be a bad idea - don't want to make it worse, and wouldn't be able to ride regularly
<---would have a really interesting time on the little one, since she's not even trained (and she's 7 yrs old!)
<---is very bad for not training her, but simply lost interest and was losing temper - decided to stop before one of us got hurt
