It hasn't been studied. You will have to use your best judgement...I would definitely wait through the 1st trimester then decide if you want to use PERIODICALLY during 2nd and 3rd trimesters. As a pharmacist, this would be my advice for a patient.

I thought i had read somewhere that you shouldn't use them when preggo. I know I thought about it last year when I was standing in a wedding but I decided not to b/c of what I read.

No. I work in a dental office and the Doc I work for does not reccomend it. Although the matierals that make up the whitening agent are relatively harmless ther are not enough studies to show how much enters the blood stream and if it affect the unborn. . I wouldn't do it.
