Is anyone else thankful ...

that you don't eat that way all the time?! I am!! Don't get me wrong - I did a kick a** workout of LIC and the KPC cardio premix yesterday before heading to my mom's for Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't eat a huge quantity - but the quality - oh my! The butters and the creams and the sugars and the sauces that go into my mom's meal prep were just so heavy! I was miserable last night - though not overly full. Just really made me thankful that I am able to - and choose to - eat much lighter most of the time. Amazing how your body gets used to certain foods. It just gave me a better appreciation for my own quirky eating habits.

Lorrie:

Darn right!x( I cooked, so we had a very reasonable menu - turkey (which I didn't eat), mashed potatoes without all the crappo, sweet potatoes mashed with dried apricots (yum), steamed broccoli and pumpkin pie (didn't eat that, either). But we also had a couple of bottles of champagne then three bottles of red wine... between five of us. It's always the wine that gets me!!!  ;( Today was back to austerity!:7

Not to brag or anything, but I went to my Mom's this year, and she cooks everything healthy and light. Everything was organic and whole grain and there wasn't a simple sugar in sight (except for the cake I brought). Okay, I am bragging. Her wonderful, healthy cooking gave me an appreciation for great food from an early age, and I'm very grateful to her. :D

We went to some friend's house and they are trying to get into the
"healthy eating" habit, so the food wasn't bad this year. I even took a RF/RS banana pudding that was to die for! I guess that because I didn't go overboard this year, I actually didn't feel bad or yucky at all!

But, to answer your question...I am very glad that I don't eat like that anymore (like I used to!!!)
