Is 12 week challenged being judged like MsFit's

Or is this a personal challenge for everyone? If it's being judged, who is judging? Is there a money pot where a monetary award is involved or is it the fulfillment of an internal goal?

Just wondering?

Why don't you all judge the top say, 5, winners. Each participant will post there before and after pictures (front, side, back) on one thread. Then everyone could place a vote for top 5 "best results" based on pictures, stats and goals.

Then using the annonymous polling routine on this forum, post the top 4 or 5 to determine the winners based on popular vote.

Everyone who completes the challenge is a winner! It's quite clear we all do it for ourselves.

What's everyone's input?

Hi Candi,
yeah, its more of an internal thing...getting satisfaction from what you can accomplish. There are so many 12 week challenges out there...I think I'll just make up my own! :) :)

To the other gals, that is a good idea.We can do that forsure!

Lori:)

OK, excuse my intrusions, it's just that I've been at this for 3 weeks now. It is so important to write 3 simple goals, take the "before" pictures and ADHERE TO 90% CLEAN EATING DAY IN AND DAY OUT. It's very difficult in the first week, then it becomes very easy as you feel changes occurring. Suddenly you don't want to jeopardize your hard earned progress.

Why don't you have Lori, or the 12 Week Challenge spokesperson, write a brief notice about the start and finish dates, proposed method of evaluating results, etc... and ask SNM to "pin it up" at the top of Open Discussion". Then whomever is participating can just post "I'm in!". That we you can all continue with the weekly support thread (which is HUGE for support)and have a reminder of who's working with the group.

Enough said. I'll be rooting for you!

You know, I agree with X. I think many times goals fail because they are too general and because there is no structure around them. We already have tons of check-ins around here where everybody kind of comes as they are and nothing more is required; I was really hoping the 12-week thing would have more structure and some guidelines.

What do you guys think? Is there anyone who is interested in a more structured 12-week challenge? Perhaps just a few rules, like taking your measurements, before pics, writing three concrete goals, etc.?

Marie

Marie- I absolutely agree with you. More structure with more of a goal oriented purpose would keep me motivated. Also, what is the prize?
Maybe each week within our check-in we can post, weightloss/gain (if those are your goals), bodyfat loss, what you are eating, etc. etc.

Can anyone tell me little more detail on the 12 weeks challanged? Have it already started? Am I too late to join?

Ok. I found Lori's thread.
