Ipod Help!

Hi All!

I have the Classic 80 gig - got it last year (out of warranty now) and just this past weekend it will not hold a charge. The ipod works when in my speaker dock or when charger plugged into the wall, but when you take it off the charger, it dies within minutes.

anyone ever have this issue?
Is it shot?

Jane~ I know your pain! I have a 40 GB 1st generation that freezes up on me, usually during my CC W/O's I now have to tape it down to the equipment console so that it doesn't get jarred and freeze up.

Not sure about the charge problem you are having but it could mean your battery is dead and will no longer hold a charge. Maybe if you visit apple's website for troubleshooting, you might get an answer.

Never heard of replacing an ipod's battery. Checking local stores now.

weird, I have it on my speaker dock here at work that charges it, just took it off after it being on there all morning, and it says "no battery life remains..."

Ugh!
