Inverted Shoulder Presses (YIKES!)

Did Push Pull this morning for the first time. MY GOD. I could not do more than one inverted shoulder press. Who can do them, how many, and how long did it take you to get there?

I love a new challenge!! :)

That's a VERY tough exercise, tougher than a pike IMO, and takes a lot of stability in the shoulder girdle. I haven't even attempted it yet, and don't know if I will (I also don't like the stress it puts on my wrists). Bravo to you for doing even one!

Put your toes on the high step, and set yourself up in a pike position. Then lower in two counts, and push back up in two counts.

You put your toes on the high step-legs straight-and your hands flat on the floor. You point the top of your head and the top of your shoulders towards the floor in a straight line and do a push up style motion. Can you kind of get a visual from that description? I tried it once...FORGET IT! LOL I do Cedie's alternate move!:p

ETA: I see Kathryn responded and did a better job of it! :)

Ooooh, that sounds wicked! I'm going to try it:)

Cathe had us doing push-ups with our feet on the ball during the sculpting class. That was when she did that unearthly AAAAAAAAAARGH noise that went on for what seemed like several minutes and made us all laugh and fall on our faces:p

I can do them, but they are tough. You can make them easier keeping your feet on the floor, but on your tip-toes, in the pike position. P90X shows this modification.
