Inverted Shoulder Press - Push/Pull or Supersets

I can't remember if it is in Push/Pull or Supersets (I did a premix with both this weekend!) but I wondered your thoughts on the inverted shoulder press.

I can only do about 5 or 6 of these when up on my toes. I wondered if I did those and them went down on my knees (on the step, but still doing the shoulder press inverted) would be a fair modification. It seemed to work but I had to make an extra effort to stay up over my shouders rather than working more chest.

Thoughts?

This is in push/pull. If I remember correctly, Cedie is doing a modification of alternating front raises with dumbbells. If you want to continue working on the inverted press, it is more than fine to lower your height. Just make sure you are keeping good form at a lower height so you hit the same area. Seems you already figured that part out ;)

I believe the inverted shoulder press is also in Pure Strength. I just did those a couple of weeks ago. I modified the way Cedie did them. Perhaps they are also in another workout as well. I don't think they are in Supersets though.

Christine:

This exercise is in P90X. They do it off of a chair as well as the floor. To do it from the floor you simply get on your toes and bend over so that the crown of your head is aiming towards the floor. You can use push up stands with these as well. That's what I do. It's been a while since I tried them in PP/SS but was not able to do them whenever I had tried. I could do them immediately in the X because my feet were on the floor as opposed to elevated. I can do 10 reps.

HTH!:)
