Instead of a squat rack

Hi STS anticipators! I'm not terribly inclined to start looking at squat racks (so no enabling PLEASE) but I have this:

http://www.soloflex.com/shop/shop-rockit/

Had it for years but not really used it much since discovering Cathe DVDs. It's a basic squat machine goes up to over 300 pounds - do you all think I could use this instead of making another large piece of equipment purchase? (Realizing of course you all cannot speak to what will be done in STS)

Hey Lorrie. If you don't want that piece in your house anymore, I'd be GLAD to take it off your hands! :)

I plan to use mine for STS (and I've used it at times for other workouts, where I want to squat heavier than I can lift over my shoulders). Why buy a new piece of equipment when you've got another one (that wasn't cheap!). At least try it for a while and see if you like it. You could always buy a squat rck later (I personally wouldn't buy a one-piece squat rack, as they look like real space hogs. Better, IMO, are the two-piecers that are easier to store and are portable).

My $10 monthly to Planet Fitness gets me full run of all the latest and greatest fitness equipment, including a few smith machines, and I don't have to build an addition on my house :D
