Hi!

I'm in my recovery week of insanity workout-For does of you who have finish or are doing insanity when your in your recovery week and doing (core cardio and balance) all week, is that all you do or do your incorporate other workouts? I feel like I need to do more or I'm so use to not doing advance cardio, do you eat less during your recovery week? I'm a bit worry that I will gain some weight if I just do core cardio and balance! I a'm still incorporating my weights 4 times a week. Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!!!

Hi Lulu,,

In my opinion it would be best to follow the routine as it's scheduled out for you in order to get the results it says you'll get. Doing more on top of 'Cardio Core and Balance' would in my opinion be considered over kill. You pounded hard through the first 4 weeks so 'Cardio Core and Balance' is set up to get your body the rest it needs before really pounding it out with Month 2 work outs.

I did Insanity in it's entirety over the Holidays, took an active rest week ,and then followed the program exactly for a second time.
( Note: I did NOT follow the diet plan ) and did not gain any weight at all during recovery week. This week is specifically set up this way to prepare you for what you're going to endure during the second month of work outs.
As with any 'recovery week' I did watch what I ate a lot more than usual due to the fact that I was probably not burning as much with 'Cardio Core and Balance" as I was with the other work outs. I think you are right on to keep up the weight work. Even though I am a cardio freak, I also think it's important to keep up the resistance training. Muslce burns more ,,,hense the importance of weights. Cardio Core and Balance is still challenging enough to keep your metabolism up there until you reach Month 2 so I think you'll be fine !
Hope this helps.

Ah, yes. Cardio Snore Bore and Balance. I found myself doing other workouts during this time. I couldn't take the boredom. Some steady state Cathe step - the earlier ones - Greatest Hits or Classics. Maybe some RS. Long doggie walks. But I couldn't take the Snore Bore.
