In the market for a smart tv

Hi all!

I'm in the market for a smart tv and thought I'd get input from the Cathe community. I'm trying to find out if there's a brand/model out there that plays on demand videos well. I currently have a tablet/appletv set up that just doesn't work very well for the on demand service (sporadic annoying buffering). I'm wondering if there's a tv out there that takes the tablet out of the equation and plays on demand videos direct from wifi or ethernet - no tablet, no 3rd party device like appletv or chromecast, no computer. Anyone currently using something like this and very happy it? Specific brand/model will help immensely! Thanks so much for your help

We bought the Samsung Smart TV 65" a few month ago. We live in the county, our internet is bad. I work out to Suzanne Bowen Fitness streaming. We had a lot of problems with the streaming. It drove me crazy, especially when you try to workout. Last weekend we bought a Wi-Fi Range Extender from Best Buy, that seems to work.

Thanks ladies! I will have to check the speed test site when I'm having problems and see if it's my ISP slowing things down. Bayerngirl you like the Samsung smart tv? That's one I've been eyeing.

Suethepooth, we love the Samsung Smart TV. We bought ours in Costco 4 month ago. They a lot cheaper now. We have a huge living room, now DH wants to buy a 75" It's nice working to a large tv.

We bought 2 Samsung smart TV's. The one in my workout area is 50+" and I love it. We don't use it to its potential. Need to take the time to learn all that we can do with it. We've had good luck with Samsung.
