IMax vs. Intense Moves

Can anyone tell me how IMax compares to Gin Miller's Intense Moves? I have Gin's tape and can do almost everything in the hardest form on a 6" step. I've heard so much about IMax that I'm not sure I'll ever buy it! However, I did just purchase 8 tapes so I'm sure that'll keep me busy! ;) Thanks !!

Marcia!

IMAX is GREAT! I also have Intense Moves and I like it also. I definitely think that IMAX is more intense, but Cathe shows modifications on all of the intervals. It is a "Feel-Good" tape (ONCE YOU COMPLETE IT!!

)There truly is a feeling of accomplishment when you finish it even if you need to modify at times. I have two sections that I usually end up modifying, but never feel like I was defeated. Give it a try. It's fantastic!

Imax vs Imoves

I have both. IMax is a longer and somewhat harder workout and the format is different. Where Gin does the aerobic phase by showing you the next anaerobic interval, Cathe instead, does a mini step combo for her aerobic phase and then does something different for the anaerobic interval. While I like both workouts I like IMax better. There are some hard anaerobic moves but they are easy to modify. I think IMax is a good workout to "shake up your workout". If you can do IMoves you can do IMax with maybe a few modifications.

I like both

agree with all responses and, in fact, actually did both tapes this week. (Usually do one or the other.) Gin keeps telling you to do "some of it or none of it"-- but, believe me, you can do all of it. She almost seems afraid of it. Cathe is more matter of fact;she seems to say: here it is.

Thanks!

This gives me a good idea then of what to expect. I don't know when I'll get it, though. Hubby is beginning to roll his eyes and wonder if buying 8 vids that don't exist yet isn't enough!! I think I'm going to start checking in on Sundays, too.

IM vs. Intense Moves

Hi, Marcia,

I would agree with everything that has been said. If you can do Intense Moves, you can do IMax. There are a couple intervals that I find a little harder than those in Intense Moves, but you can modify them as necessary. The main difference is that Cathe's tape has more choreography, which would make it more difficult for people who are not familiar with her style. But if you have done other Cathe tapes, you'll know most of the moves and it shouldn't be a problem; to me, the choreography makes it more fun. Besides, you need something to tide you over until those new tapes come out...

Have fun,
Audrey

My first step tape was Intense Moves...

...then I did Imax. If I can do the choreography, you can too. I'm not all that coordinated, or so I thought. They are both tough in different ways. i think Gin's recovery periods seen shorter, but I may be wrong.

By all means get IMAX!!! Go for it.
