Okay, so I finally have enough Cathe workouts to follow her January rotation. I did PLB for the first time on Monday. . .and was doing great until we got to the stability ball section. I haven't had my ball (or my new workouts) very long, and I'm still getting used to the environment. The outer thigh bit was killer for me!
So I get up this morning and am feeling my legs. . .and it dawns on me that today we're supposed to do IMAX. Well, I've only done it once before, and power scissors are by far my hardest move. The first time I did IMAX, I intentionally did it the day after my rest day--for obvious reasons. But all went well until interval 8. OUCH! I barely made it through--going very shallow on the last 16 and pumping my arms like crazy. It's a good thing I wasn't on camera! I could almost hear Cathe saying "you don't want to get momentum from your arms--that would be cheating, and we're working here!"}(
And my thanks to whoever responded to a post defining plyometrics as the Latin term for "I think Cathe is trying to kill me." I think of it every time I do them, and it always puts a smile on my face--and helps me through!
