Just wondering if there is such a thing as IMAX1?? I realize this question has probably been answered but being fairly new to the forum, I wasn't sure. And if there is such a thing how do I find it? And what do you guys think of it? Is it worth getting? I love IMAX 2&3 even though they totally kick my butt everytime!!
Thanks guys,
carolyn:)

Why yes, there is. Although it is called "Interval Max". And all the subsequent ones were shortened to IMAX...

I don't have this one, so I can't tell you whether it's worth getting or not... but believe me, I WANT to get it (and every other Cathe DVD I don't have yet). :D

Yes, there is an IMAX 1 known simply as IMAX. I love this video. The choreography is less complex than 2 and 3 but tough and lots of fun. Yes, you should definitely get it. You can find it on this board by clicking at the top of the page on Video or DVD. The DVD comes with two other workouts, I think.

Yes there is but it's just called Imax or Interval Max. Originally released on VHS, it is also available on the DVD compilation with Rhythmic Step, i.e. the one that's currently back ordered! it was made at the same time as the PS series so the gear and hair sstyles are of that era.

It's an excellent workout. It is not as "on-the-step" as Imax 2. The blasts in Imax are mainly on the floor and unlike Imax 2 in which the blast comprises 2 or 3 different moves, the blasts in Imax comprise just one move done repeatedly for a minute minute and half. It can get too much! Personally, I prefer the variety and music of Imax 2, but it certainly is good to have Imax for variety for the brain and body.

Hi Carolyn,

I always thought Interval Max was considered IMAX 1. I could be wrong. My favorite is IMAX 2.

Hey guys-
Thanks for the advice!! I'll get it ASAP! I was wondering what the other 2 workouts on RS were?
THanks again!!
Carolyn

I may be in the minority here, but i think IMax 1 was the toughest interval w/o. I think it is all the off the step intervals. Straight blasts without all the complex choreography.

Anyway, RS/IMAX/MIC are on a DVD.

I'm with you in thinking Interval Max is the toughest one of the three. Part of it is that the moves don't change during the interval which I think makes them seem longer. They just keep going and going and going.....

I love IMAX 1!

I think I have a soft spot for it because it is the first Cathe workout I have ever owned. I ordered it from Collage a couple of years ago after reading the reviews. I hadn't even heard of Cathe before that.

When I first attempted to do it (and it was just an attempt!) I thought to myself "Holy S*&%!! What is this woman doing?

It's a great workout and the time just flies by! GET IT NOW:D :9
