I'm so upset!!

I've had pain in my joints every morning for the past week!! My ankles, knees, left elbow, and left wrist have been killing me, and preventing me from doing my workouts!!! :( The pain is at it's worst after lounging or sleeping!! I wake up and hobble over to turn off the alarm. It seems like it all began after I was jumping on our trampoline one morning because I didn't have time for a Cathe vid. Also, I recently became a lacto-ovo vegetarian so I don't know if I'm missing some type of vitamin and that's causing my pain or what. I miss working out with Cathe each morning and to top it off: I've gained weight!!x( I was at Kohls yesterday trying on clothing and everything was too snug!! Please keep me in your prayers everybody, because I'm really hoping this is nothing serious!! I'm going to the doctor this next week. I was hoping this was the result of a lousy mattress, but I just got a brand new bed and was as sore as ever this morning. x( Well, thanks for listening everyone.

Are your joints swollen and red? I have RA and my stiffness/pain is always worse after a period of immobility, i.e. sleeping... Keep us informed. I really hope it isn't RA or anything serious.

Thanks for the reply Jane. I wanna say I see a little puffiness but there's no redness. I'm only 32, so I hope it's not arthritis (what would I be like at 50?!:( I have heard you can get it at any age though. Did yours seem to come on really fast? It's like one day I was fine and the next day it was there and has been ever since. :( Thank you again for replying.

Dana, mine was a very rapid onset within a day or two the joints in my hands were so red and swollen I couldn't close my hands. Rheumatoid arthritis strikes usually in the mid to late 30's. There are good medications now to control RA and prevent joint damage. If this is what it turns out to be, get to a good rheumatologist. The arthritis part of rheumatoid arthritis is misleading. It is actually an autoimmune disease that attacks the joints and damages them causing the arthritis. It is a sister disease to lupus. Your body mistakes the synovial lining and fluid of your joints as foreign bodies in the body to be destroyed and your immune system goes to work doing just that.

PM me if you'd like if this turns out to be your diagnosis. I have lived with it now for six years.
