I'm gonna do it this time!!

Thanks to all your wonderful adivce and information I am going to lose these 20 pounds that I have attempted so many times!

I am going to use my self confidence and positive thinking (thanks to the confidence thread).

I have joined sparkpeople.com and have made several comittments. They make it so easy, with simple steps a few weeks at a time.

I will continue to exercise, using Kathryn's idea to do something for at least 10 minutes per day. It is better to do something than just think about it or feel guilty when I don't get my workout in.

I will watch what I am eating, thanks to sparkpeople.com and realize how many calories I am eating and how many I should be eating!

Thank you to everyone for their great ideas and motivation!

I'm so glad you posted because this is the kind of inspiration I need. I need to drop about 15 or 20 lbs. as well and it makes it easier for me when I see this kind of determination and resolve. Thanks for sharing and good luck!

Hey Jen,
You are where I was about 2 years ago - starting at 150 and going down from there. And, I did it just the way you have posted. I actually got to about 133 last summer and crept up to 135. I am also going down to 130.

Thanks for posting! It motivates everyone who is "close" like you are! Hang in there and I think we will both see 130 this year! I have been on Fitday for 2 years, but switched to Spark as well.

Best of luck to you! From your weight-tracker, I can see that you were at where I am now. I also joined sparkpeople..I've set up some of my own mealplans on there, starting later this month. I just re-started exercising about right after Christmas. I'm still visiting my hometown right now (that's why the diet will wait!), but when I go back, me and a friend are going to join an exercise class which will help keep me active.

We can do this!
