At DS's bday party today we found out DH's bro and wife are expecting. Baby is due in Sept. They got married this last Nov, but have been together since freshman or sophomore year in high school, they are both now 30 or 31. They planned on having a baby shortly after getting married. The brought the ultrasound pics of the little peanut with them. I have 3 nephews and a niece on my side, but there are none on DH's side. He has 3 brothers, and we have the only kid! One bro is a bachelor for life and the other has been married prob 12 or 13 years now, but they have dogs for kids, and don't want kids. So, there will finally be some more young blood on his side of the family. BIL was all smiling and strutting and looking all proud of himself
And DH has always wanted to be an uncle on his side of the family. We are hoping for a girl, his family needs some girls. And I know his dad would love to be grandpa to a girl, and so would great grandpa. That's why he has 3 brothers - his parents kept trying for a girl. Obviously, the men in the family make boy babies not girl babies But, boy or girl, it doesnt matter. I'm going to be an Aunt again!! Yay
