Yay!!! After a long bout of PT for my shoulder (6 weeks, then surgery in early October, then more PT post-surgery) - I am finally FINISHED as of today! YAY

Now all I have to do is the PT exercises on my own for a bit, slowly tapering that off. In another 3-4 weeks I can ease back into direct shoulder workouts. I just need to listen to the pain/ache and rest and ice as needed. Needless to say, this whole experience has made me pay much stricter attention to form - and what I lift. I am starting back with upper body about 25% of the weights pre-surgery and will slowly work my way back up. Hoping to be able to start STS in mid-February.
This has been a LONG process for me and it reinforced how important weighttraining is when it comes to weight loss. Because I could only do legs for the past 2 1/2 months, and I did tons of cardio - I am now 5-8 pounds heavier than before surgery... it doesn't help that the holiday food fest has had me in its grip either. But I've always been lucky in that if I eat too much (or the wrong foods), I was able to keep my weight in check through exercise.... Back to the drawing board.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah and Happy New Year to all!!!
