I'm Busy

DH just notified me that he wants me to be his nutritionist! He eats what I make for dinner, but during the day he has been on his own. So I went grocery shopping and got him all set up so he will be eating pretty much the same foods I will be eating during the day. I expect his weight to drop significantly since he was eating fast food during the day. He is really packing on the muscles lately, but needs to work them abs so I am trying not to be a nag, but I really want him to do some crunches with me and Imax 2. He is doing great though!

My DD and her friend are still using me as their personal trainer and so far it has been 3 weeks and they are still doing the Cathe workouts. I can actually talk to my daughter about working out and she doesn't roll her eyes at me anymore. LOL!

Charlotte, that's great that hubby will be eating better. I too have been wanting DH to do abs with me. I have been trying to get him to do Core Max 1 with me for about a month. I think that I am getting closer each time I mention it. Good luck!!

Ugh...I hate it when DH asks me to do that.It never works out.Hopefully you will have more luck.
DH gets into one of those kicks, prehaps 4x a year.He may be out somewhere or doing something and he realizes that he isn't in the best shape and he wants me to start making him healthy food to eat.Its hard enough doing it yourself + working full time. I can't control what goes into his mouth and I can't make his lunches! LOL
And then about 3 days into it, he will be so hungry that he goes to McDonalds. Then something else...then something else. And for some odd reason he still thinks that he is eating right.Kind a like a person going on a diet, but they aren't really. They write down their meals, but don't write down what they picked at all day! LOL Then they wonder why they haven't lost weight...same thing.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Lori,

Hey there maniac!

My DH will not be starving. He has all the essentials until dinner time. He better not go to McYuk's! EW! LOL! The only thing I worry about is that he might become bored or when he travels alot. It is still up to him. I can only do so much. I really got to hope he sticks with some cardio too and ab work. This is important for him. All he does is strength training and he needs the rest of the package. I will keep everyone posted.

Charlotte~~

Charlotte that is great. Keep up posted on his progress. I wish that I could get my DH to eat better. Most of the times I'm making 2 suppers. One for me and Gabe and then the crappy one for DH.

That's great Charlotte!! My DH takes for granted that I will feed him healthy food so he is clueless about the nutritional value of anything unless it's a no brainer like a candy bar! We run long runs together a few times a month taking turns pushing our 4 year old in the jogging stroller. It's such a great time for us to connect with a common interest and since it's a long and slow run we also have a lot of time to chat.

And aren't you so happy that your DD has been influenced by the great example you have set for her? That's definately something to be proud of!:)

Charlotte, I think that is awesome. So far this year, DH has quit drinking coke twice, he has called of fast food three times, he has cut out after dinner stacks at least a dozen times.... :p

I really think it is great that you are such an example to your DH. And your DD doing workouts! You are going to have such a fit family. :)
