Hello all:) I haven't been posting much lately. I have had a lapse in making good choices as far as exercise and eating go, but I'm back on the wagon. I am putting my scale in the attic, getting back on sparkpeople.com and returning to the accountability of this forum! I have not been journaling my food or tracking my workouts in several months and things have gone to hell in a handbasket:)

Also, over the weekend, i got an update on my brother Dylan. He is doing well. He got promoted to First Platoon Leader (so he is second only to the Guide) and will be graduating Private First Class:7 Also, he was recognized with a special award for leadership and drill instruction. He graduates in two weeks and i well be flying to San Diego to see it:) Then he gets to come home for 10 days leave. I am planning a surprise party for him and spent most of this morning on the phone with all his friends plotting}( So thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers! I know they have helped him sail through this experience and I truly appreciate all of the support!

Hey Jes, welcome back, we knew you couldn't stay away indefinitely!:) Glad you're ready to get back on track, we all get a bit derailed from time to time.

Thanks for the update on Dylan, he is doing amazing and must have truly found his niche. You all must be so very proud. I can just imagine the energy after the pomp and ceremonial part of grad, they all deserve to party hardy with family and friends. Sounds like a lot of fun plotting his surprise with your accomplices, I'm sure it'll be a blast!

So nice to see you back on the boards!

Take Care
Laurie:)

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming ‘Wow - what a ride!’ — Peter Sage

Welcome back Jes!! That is great about Dylan. I bet he will be thrilled with the surprise party! Tell him we are proud of him!

Loved the pictures of the GTG. Looks like you ladies had a wonderful time! You all looked great!!

Jes,

That is wonderful news! I'm sure you are beaming with pride over what your little brother has done! Glad to hear that you are also ready to get back to a proper diet and exercise as well though I can certainly understand why one would lapse in your situation. I know how worried you were about Dylan.

Take care and hope to see you 'round these parts more often!;)

jes, I'm so glad to hear from you. I was worried. And congratulations to your brother on his promotion. You must be very proud. Have a wonderful time with him. And be here lots please!
