I'm 34 weeks now, how far along is everyone else?

I was just wondering if anyone else is getting toward the end. I'm due March 12th. The time has gone by so fast I can't believe it! Though I do hear the last month does drag. I'm excited, but I'm going to miss being pregnant (except for the back aches). My baby shower is this Saturday and then we have a childbirth class the next Saturday. The baby's room is almost finished, but not quite. We have lots of stuff to do, but I'm enjoying it. How's everyone else doing.

My biggest regret is that I haven't exercised in about 3 weeks. I can only do so much in a day and on the weekdays that would be going to work and that's it. My job is pretty physical though most days so by the time I get home I'm exhausted and my back has absolutely had it. I was exercising on my days off, but lately I spend what energy I have on painting and moving things around for the baby's room and then a little house cleaning and then I've had it again.:-( I guess we can only do so much right? I wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for my back. My lower back is really sore and I have an SI joint that's out of place all the time now and really hurts every time I walk. I also can't believe how my lung capacity has decreased, I get out of breath so easily now and that's a miserable feeling. Well that's enough complaining, I hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Amy,

I typically don't post anymore (haven't for almost a year) but I had to pipe up here since I've been lurking on the moms-to-be forum for the past seven months! I'll be 33 weeks tomorrow - due March 21st. My childbirth class is also Saturday the 9th! My daughter's room has been furnished and decorated for over a month and I'm tired of looking at that empty crib... except for when the cat sleeps in it! :D

I'm going to miss being pregnant too. I LOVE it when my kiddo gets the hiccups! What a cool feeling! But I'll be happy to trade that for that first look at her face!

Don't beat yourself up about the exercise. With my reduced lung capacity, pelvic pain (don't even get me started about SI joints!) and constant rapid heartbeat, I have a hard time exercising too. I try to walk on my treadmill a few days a week and hit the gym for the leg machines when I can but I'd rather just curl up on the couch with a parenting book and fall asleep!

Enjoy your baby shower! They're so much fun. My boyfriend's sister and mother threw me one in December and almost his entire extended family showed up!

Take care and best of health to you and the other moms-to-be on the board!

I'm only 19 weeks, not due till 6/26. That seems so far away.
I will NOT AT ALL miss being pregnant.
I know this suits a lot of women, but I'm hating every minute of it.

I'm super exctied to have a little one, but would really prefer to fast forward to the end. I'm hating the weight gain, and the joint pain, and the back pain...and let's not even talk about my boobs - which at a 36F currently are causing their own back pain for me. DH is amazed at how heavy they are!

You'll have good days and bad days. For the first half of my pregnancy, I was hating life! The nausea, the massive unrelenting heartburn (which I still have but now only 3-4x/week instead of 6-7x/week), the weight gain, the stupid awful stretch marks, back pain, hip pain, boob pain, headaches.... the list goes on and on and on. Fortunately, now I'm having more good days than bad days so it's easier to conveniently forget how miserable I was feeling!

Pregnancy doesn't suit me by any means, but there are moments where it's kinda fun. And, thankfully, there is an end in sight! }(

Becky,

Congratulations on your little girl! Is this your first? This is my first and I'm having a boy. Our due dates are really close!

I've only felt my baby have the hiccups a couple of times, but I love how it feels when he's moving around.

At least you are exercising. I don't have as much to do this weekend, other than the shower which should be relaxing not tiring, so my plan is to fit in some sort of exercise. Maybe I'll go snowshoeing.

Well good luck to you, enjoy your childbirth class! You won't have an empty crib for too much longer!

Amy

Melimcn,

I remember for the first 14 or 15 weeks I said the exact same thing, that I hated every minute of being pregnant. I had naseau and depression, but in my 2nd trimester I really started to enjoy it. I suppose in the next few weeks I'll probably get to hate it again as I get more uncomfortable. And I am looking forward to getting back to my regular workout schedule again and getting rid of the back pain. Hang in there, for me at least it went by really fast even the bad parts. Time just flies I guess.

Amy,

Congratulations on your boy! This is my first too so it's been an adventure! I call her my little birthday present since I conceived her on my 32nd birthday last year. }(

Do you ever look at your stomach and marvel at how misshapen it can get? My daughter likes to shove herself way over to the right so I usually have a giant lump over there. It's always a relief when she settles back into the middle as it gives my ribcage a break from the constant pressure.

Have you figured out how you want to give birth or are you waiting for after your class? I'm going to try to do the natural childbirth thing but who knows. I might wind up asking for every drug available within the first five minutes or labor.

Good luck to you too! Let me know how your childbirth class goes.

I hope the cat won't mind sharing the crib!

Ditto for me!!!
x( :D

15 weeks on Saturday and.....hating every minute of it, lol. The fatigue, zits, headaches, backache, all seems relentless right now. I get a few days break and then bammo right back!!! It is not so much fun when you can't feel the baby move yet... I am excited though that we will have a new little baby in July! Wow! Seems unreal. I am soo excited too to find out the sex and start really planning out the nursery and buying stuff!! Another few weeks for me!;)

Congrats on your pregnancy! You are so far along..almost there. And Becky..nice to see ya. I didn't even know you were pregnant!

I don't post very much on here, but I just wanted to say hi and good luck to everyone.

I will be 30 weeks tomorrow and while it is going by very fast (and I keep thinking of all the things I want to do before the baby comes) I will definitely not be sad about not being pregnant anymore. I feel much more awkward and big than when I was pregnant with my son. I have terrible heartburn and my low back is killing me. I also REALLY miss working out hard! I can't wait until the day when I can do Imax 2 again. Which seems like it will be so far away when I think about how little sleep one gets with a newborn around.

Hope everyone has a good labor experience.

Hey Janice!

Nice to see you too! Yeah, I've been kinda sneaky about being preggers. ;)

I was so sad to read about your miscarriage and you've been in my thoughts for months. It seems like things are going really well with this pregnancy for you...other than all the crapiness that goes along with being pregnant! Take a bunch of pictures of the acne and stretch marks (if you get them) so you have something to guilt your child with when s/he hits the teenage years!

Hi Amy, Becky, and everyone else,

I also don't post so much. I am 33 weeks, and due on March 22.I am looking forward to having the baby! It will be planned c section, so I will go a few days early!

I was bummed because I haven't worked out since early Jan, but with my back problems, and all the aches, I decided to lay low, and will have to get back into it! I plan on getting the STS! :)

Have a great day, everyone!

Hi everyone,
I've been reading this forum a lot throughout my pregnancy for all of the great exercise motivation and advice! I'm nearly 35 weeks (due March 10) and starting to feel like an over-inflated balloon. Still working out but only 4 days/week these past 2 weeks instead of 5-6. Anyone miss the 'high' you used to get from exercising? Lately I just feel like I've been hit by a truck after I'm finished. This will be our first (a girl) and I know it will all be so worth it in the end!!:D
