Ideas for method to learn spanish?

Hi,

Has anyone learned a foreign language outside of college? I am interested in learning Spanish but have no idea how to go about it. There are many different vendors of audio and books.

Any ideas?

I've heard the Rosetta Stone program is very good but it is expensive.

A friend of mine is using Rosetta Stone computer program to learn French. She loves it & said it's highly effective - just very time consuming. You really have to commit to go thru the program in its entirety.

I third the recommendation for Rosetta Stone. This company is based in my town, which I obviously think is cool, but they have some great products.

Any chance your employer will pay for it?
