I welcome any suggestions

I would appreciate any exercise suggestions which would help to tighten the areas of my back which are under and below the sides of my bra. I am currently using Cathe's latest series of videos and making healthy changes in my diet. I have been losing inches and pounds; however, this one area doesn't want to budge!
Thank You!

I find any exercise that is a row or a pull to be very effective for this area. Ex: using either dumbbells or a barbell, squat slightly and lean forward from the hips about 45 degrees, row the weights to just above your hips bones and release. I also like one arm rows where you bend from the hips until your back is flat (you can place your non-working hand on a chair or your tall step), dangle the working arm and then row that arm to your hip bone. Adding in a slight rotation to wrap the shoulder around the spine is even more intense. Those are just two suggestions. I think the key is to use as heavy a weight as you can manage and to do back exercises at least once a week. Just my .02.

Good luck,
sabine

Believe it or not, I think that push-ups hit that area very well also. My dress I was wearing in my daughters wedding 4 years ago was "cut in" at the arm holes in front and the back. I had what I called "Bra-bubbles" that stuck out above & below my bra around the arm. I decided to up my number of push-ups with my class. We did them starting with 16 the first day and from there added one push-up a class, ending with 36 the last class (20 classes later) Most of the students did them on their knees, but we all got great results. (I was doing them 4X/week as I teach 4X/week!) The bra-bubbles were gone! My son just got engaged and my class said, "Oh no, here we go. Her kids get married and we get punished!!!" Ha! They have a great memory! Sabine's suggestion of one-arm rows is good too. I would also be sure to do reverse flyes. Good Luck and keep us posted.

In addition to the lat work that has already been suggested, I recommend using kickboxing for your cardio workout a couple of times a week. It really helps with the whole core area and the back as well.
