I-Pod ear piece????

Okay, I finally bit the bullet, borrowed MY GRANDMA'S mp3 player (she's awesome and way more tech-savvy than I am!), taught myself how to download and then transfer an ITread to the player - and then discovered that the damn ear buds will NOT stay put!!! Here I am so proud of myself for moving into the 21st century and trying this whole ipod thing and when I'm pumped and ready to hit the treadmill, I can't! x(

So, all of you CC and Itread people, what do you use for ear pieces that actually stay put? I tried the whole wrapping the cord around my ear, but that didn't work. I'm soooo bummed because the w/o sound like so much fun and I can't do it right now!

<<throwing a temper tantrum that would make any 3-year-old child proud>>

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I bought a pair on-line (Amazon...but don't buy them there!!!! ---see Amazon/dogfighting thread). Those things that come with it suck! Mine cost about $20.00; stay put, even when I run; are comfortable; and sound fantastic. I'll look when I get home to see who makes them.

Do you have any old ones from a walkman or anything lying around?

No, I don't even remember the last time I wore headphones for any reason - 10-15 years ago, maybe? I'm feeling kind of old and I'm only 28  I prefer to listen to music reaaly loud on the surround sound, so I'd only use the mp3 player for exercise (and future Cathe workouts!).

What is Itread? And where can I find it?

Don't mean to change the subject. But I've heard Itread referenced a few times. Is this a downloadable treadmill workout that you need an Ipod or MP3 player to use?

Sorry,

Becky

I just use the ear pieces that came with my Ipod but bought the foam covers. Seems to work fine for me, but it's nice to see other options!

Thanks ladies!

Nancy, I've been looking at the set you mentioned, and I just ordered it - I hope it won't take forever to get here!

TeTe, I totally hear ya about the "homemade surround sound," but I'm just not a fan of things in my ears, etc. - unless it's for a workout, of course!

:D

RE: What is Itread? And where can I find it?

Becky,

Check out their website: www.itrain.com - ITreads are specifically for treadmill workouts, but they offer a whole variety of exercise programs.

I'm VERY new to these workouts (as you can see above - I'm dying to try my first one), but after reading all the other threads on them, I caved. Someone just posted a run-down of the different workouts, so you may want to scroll through and look for them. Another company is Cardio Coach, but I don't know too much about it - I think the ITreads are cheaper, but I'm not 100% sure. From what I've heard, Coach Sean is a hunk (dreamy voice, etc.)!;)

Zora, they are highly recommended by Michele (mf545) of these boards. I didn't buy them, as I decided to go high-end. But I was actually comparing the $75 ones to the $17 Sony's for awhile before I decided!

Good thread... I've been thinking about replacing my iPod earbuds. They do fall out occasionally when I'm running - annoying!

Mine fall out sometimes too. Well, just the right one. I tried another kind which were even worse, so maybe I'll try Nance's recommendation.
