I am in a wedding in 8 weeks. I look okay now but I want to look fabulous!!!! Lean and cut. I am pretty close just not quite there and I have been stuck here for about 2 years!!!
PLEASE HELP!!!

What can I do in 8 weeks to lean out especially in the arm area (strappy dress) I have all the Cathe tapes and most Firm tapes.

PLEASE give me your suggestions on diet and exercise. I can do anything for 8 weeks to be looking totally hot at this wedding.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sharon,
Last June, I was in the same position before singing a solo concert at Carnegie Hall and I was going to be wearing a strapless dress. So, what I did was to concentrate the most on the areas that were going to show, which were arms, shoulders and chest. I did each of these body parts 2 to 3 times per week for several weeks before the concert, using Pure Strength and CTX strength sections (I would combine them). I also did one or two days per week endurance, such as Power Hour and Bodypump. I also did the treadmill every day for about a half hour, and varied my routine, some days I would do intervals of walk/run, other days I would do more steady speed running or walking. As far as diet went, I cut out most sugar and fats, and did a lot of juicing of fruits and vegetables. My nerves took care of the rest and I kept losing weight to the point where my dress needed to be taken in twice before the concert. I did this within a 6 week period of time, and it worked great!

Good luck!

Hi Sharon!

My daughter got married about 3 1/2 years ago and I was wearing a dress that was sleeveless and was cut in on the shoulder area. I decided I wanted to really tone that area up also, so 4X a week in my classes, we did push-ups. We started out with l6 the first day and each class after, we added one! By the end of the 10 week session (20 classes for students, 40 for me as I taught a morning AND an afternoon class) we had worked up to 36 push-ups non-stop. At that point, I was still doing MOST of the PU's modified on knees and I STILL saw awesome results in my arm/shoulder area. My students still to this day talk abut how I had to wear a sleeveless dress and they got punished for it! :7 Abbe gave you some great advice too. Good Luck and I'm sure you'll look awesome!!!!

LAST EDITED ON Dec-01-02 AT 10:10AM (Est)[p]Last summer there was a popular rotation called "tank top arms"
I believe many women had great results.

Here is Marlene123's rotation post:
Here is my current rotation which I have been doing for 10 weeks. I plan to do two more weeks of this, then two to three weeks of Slow & Heavy and then back again. I have had such incredible success with this rotation that I hate to let it go even for a few weeks but I know I must to cause some muscle confusion.
Anyway, here it is (and I admit, it's a killer):

Day #1: Pure Strength Chest, Back, Shoulders, Biceps, Triceps
Day #2: CTX Leaner Legs
Day #3: CTX Shoulders, Biceps, Triceps plus cardio
Day #4: Cardio
Day #5: MIS
Day #6: Cardio
Day #7: Cardio or rest

As you can see, this routine works shoulders, biceps and triceps three times per week, chest and back twice and legs twice. I do abs 4-5 times per week as well.

Everyone is different and this may be too much training for some but it works for me. In order to develop cuts and definition I have to work the muscles frequently, making sure there is a day of rest between. My abs, which I work the most, have become fabulous - I even have a six pack that I can actually see and feel. Awesome. So in my case at least, the three times a week sessions for the shoulders and arms have produced the best results. I am ready for tank top weather.

I hope this helps.
