Hey everyone - I need advice how to fast safely for one week (part of a spiritual journey). I'm only looking to fast lunch. I normally eat 5 meals a day. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Fasting just one meal a day is not a major thing. Usually when people prepare for a more extended fast, they do a day or two of vegetables and fruits to kind of ease into it. Usually breaking a fast is done the same way, eating lighter things that can be digested easily before adding the meats and stuff.
You could maybe do that on a smaller scale, up the fruit at snack before lunch and then have veggies for afternoon meal before a regular dinner meal.
Most importantly though is to make sure you drink enough water through all of it!
