I missed Clinton's concession speech...

...but I'm listening to the commentary on CNN and hoping they'll show it. They're saying it was brilliant. One commentator (don't know his name) said something to the effect that the reason things got a bit nasty and personal between Hillary and Barrack is because they agree on so much. I suspect he's right. It's going to be very interesting to see what happens now, as long as it doesn't turn nasty between Barrack and McCain. If it DOES get really ugly I'm finished with The News until November's over.

BTW, Glenn Beck was on at work last night and he had this really brilliant guy, a Libertarian named Barr (like I've said, I'm a political moron... I think he held some sort of office at some point), debating the war with him. He disagreed with Beck and spoke such sense (he had the facts) that it's the only time I've ever seen a guest shut GB up. Anyone know anything about him. I had a 15 minute break and had to get back to work...

I saw Sen. Clinton's speech on TV and I think it was one of the best that she has ever given. Whereas I did not like some of the things she had said during the campaign, this speech reminded me why I was originally a Hillary Clinton supporter, in fact, at a couple of occassions I had tears in my eyes.

Bob Barr is a former Republican House of Representatives member from Georgia. He was pretty prominent in the Impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton, and back then he annoyed the heck out of me. In 2006 he left the Republican Party due to disagreements with the Republican party over spending and the war, and joined the Libertarian Party. I have heard him speak on a couple of occassions lately and I catch myself agreeing with him on some issues.

I agree - I think it was one her very best of her career. Speaking about women's issues is so rare, it was very inspirational to hear her speak so beautifully about it.

Same here. I sure didn't like him as a Republican, but I find myself agreeing with him once in a while now that he's a Libertarian.
