I've been having this pain that I thought would go away, but so far it hasn't. So if you put your hands on the small of your waist and where your thumb is on your back, that's where is hurts (on the right side). It woke me up several times last night and continues to get my attention today.

I initially thought I had a muscle cramp or pull because I noticed it after doing some weedeating in the yard 4 days ago. But it's still here and I'm pretty sure the muscle thing would have ceased by this time. Hmmm.

I think I'm hypersensitive to kidney issues because my dog (Punky) is going through some of that but for real, is that about where the kidneys would be located?

I really don't want to go to the Dr. I'm not a Dr person so I tend to put that off till I can't put it off any longer. Anyone out there ever had a pain in this location? I'm still thinking a muscle pull or something. I don't know. Hmm.

Thanks for any opinions.

I would call the doctor's office and describe symptoms to a nurse. Sounds like possible kidney infection and it will not go away without antibiotics. If ignored, it will get much worse and cause greater pain and possibly damage. Get it checked out. My daughter had this and needed a 2 day hospital stay aged 6. Don't mean to alarm you, but call the doctors, OK?

Yes, my Dad had that. It could be a kidney stone. Or it might just be from the weed eating, I have hurt myself doing that and it took a couple of weeks to heal. Think Doms on steroids.

Hi yall,

Yes, I'm still having the pain. And it seems the longer it hangs around the more it seems like a muscle thing. I don't know for sure but I figure I'd give it some more time to go away. Lol, like I said, I'm not a Dr. person. I'm hoping it goes away, but it hurts pretty good when I move certain ways. That's what makes it seem more muscular than something else.

Thanks for responding.
