Does anyone shop there? I went for the first time today and loved it. They have such fantastic brands and all sorts of cute workout gear. It reminds me of Nordstrom in terms of customer service. Cool place!

I have the Sahara shorts (quick dry plus spf)in mens, the sunday afternoon hat which is also spf, the H.A.W.G. Camelbak, Keens and am getting ready to get the ultralight camping gear together. I have started hiking in April and that is the only store I like. If you are hiking also, make sure to go to Sports Authority and pick up some sock liners made by Wigwam. They are great for blister protection, you don't have to use moleskin.
 
Good to know; thanks Heather! I picked up their Sahara tees today and a pair of Salomon hiking/water shoes. I haven't hiked in a few years, but I really enjoyed it and would like to start up again. I have also nver been camping but am going in June. So excited!
 
Did you get their membership? When you do, you get a 10% off coupon that can only be used on line. If you pay w/ a non REI debit or credit card, you only get 8% dividends. If you use cash or check, you get 10%. No dividends are given towards items you buy on sale. Are you going backpacking, car camping, long day hike or smaller hike?
 
I did get the membership, and I am browsing the site right now to see what I want to use the 10% discount on lol! I am going camping and will probably hike during the day, not all day, but maybe a few hours.
 
Did they also mention their outlet store? In the last add I got their trekking poles that were 2 for 20$.
 
I got my daughter Sarah and son Isaac their water shoes. They are so cute. They were only 13 bucks each.
 
What has been helping me a lot on the mountains that have some steep areas is doint the treadmill w/ an incline. I work up to 4% during my workout. My treadmill goes to 12%, but that is insane.}( Look into the local state parks in your area (if you haven't already).
 
ITA, REI is awesome!! It is my favorite store. They also stand behind their products 100%. DH got a pair of shoes there a year ago and they were falling apart. So, we took them back and didn't have the reciept, but they found our record because we used our membership so they gave us a store credit. Also, we buy so much stuff there during the year that we get a huge dividend. It is always fun spending that "free" money :).
