I know I am going to be so sorry tomorrow!!!

I just got KM (already have KPC and CK) and I did the whole thing. I have a feeling I am going to be really, really hurting after doing the leg conditioning drills. After everything I have read about them, I was not planning on doing them, but I did (out of stupidity?!).

Also, I had a question. This past week, whenever I do "rocket shoots and thrusts" and today during the last conditioning drill (the hip flexor drill), I have noticed that my left hip flexor makes a "crackling" sound. It doesn't hurt at all but almost feels like the cartilage is grinding. It's the joint where the quad and hip meet. Anyone have any idea about that?

So, how sore am I going to be tomorrow???

WELL......

My first piece of advice is to be as active today as possible. Walk around, run errands, do housework, etc. Just move your muscles as much as possible to stretch them out after that workout.

Honestly, you will probably be in some pain. The day after for me was pretty bad. I woke up during the night to turn over and could hardly move. The next two days expect to be pretty sore, and you may need to take two rest days in a row, or do some light stuff like stretching.

Also, be sure to keep the ibuprofen handy.

I want to add that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kick Max, and have continued to do this workout, and don't feel like that anymore.

Hang in there!!

Do not like the sound of that crackling. Be careful, I have arthritis and will be getting my right hip replaced, after many, many years of bodybuilding, high impact exercise and dancing, I have worn it out.
Just be careful, maybe get an x-ray to make sure everything is okay in there.
Oh and I am certainly not a doctor, so take my opinion with a grain of salt please.:)

All I can say, is keep it moving today. Don't sit, or you'll never get up again!! I pushed all the way thru KM the 1st time (stupidity rears its ugly head) and I wanted to die the next day. Sorry to say, but the 2nd day was even worse. I don't do the leg drills anymore. Partly because I don't want to feel that ever again, and partly because they bore me. I'd rather do LG for an hour than the 10 mins of those drills.
Drink lots of water, and keep moving to keep the stiffness from setting in. You may want to try a couple aspirin too, if it gets too bad. My Dr said its the best thing. Said it won't necassarily help the pain, but will help the inflammation of the muscles go down, which will then cause less pain, so it won't hurt so long. Said the same thing about Aleve as well, but I can't take that. Said Tylenol will just mask the pain, but won't make it get any better any faster. I personally think it depends on the person. But thats what Dr said.

As for the snap crackle pop, its prob nothing serious, but since its a new issue, you may want to go to the Dr and have it checked out just in case. I have have had snap crackle pops that don't hurt turn out to be major probs when left ignored. And I've also had then just go away. Best to be on the safe side.

Okay, so I woke up this morning fearful to get out of bed thinking my legs would be so sore, I would probably fall! As of yet, my legs are a bit sore, but I'm more sore near my triceps and lats! Still, it is not unbearable at all...yet! I saw some of you guys say it will be worse tomorrow, so we'll see. I am going to take today off. Probably just take a long walk with the pups.

I couldn't take everyone's advice and move around yesterday. I had to be chained to the computer. I am finishing up my doctorate and had to work on my comprehensive exams. I wrote and researched for seven hours straight! What a pain! The good news is, I am almost done!!! I have a little to do this week and then, finito! Yay!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!
