I found the best baby carrier EVER!!! Its called a sleepy wrap. It is awsome! i had a baby bjorn when my little one was just born. i wish i had this from the begining.He is almost 1 and weighs in at approx 23 lbs. I put him in this when we go to the store and I can shop and he loves it.

thanks for the heads up! I have my baby bjorn too and also a moby. Another mom on here has a maya. I'll check this out!
 
is the sleepy wrap like a moby? i ablosutely love my hotsling and also have the ultimate baby wrap (same idea as moby wrap but a bit stretchier, i think). my husband uses a bjorn-like carrier that i do not like at all.

Wendy, does your dh have an ergo? I've been looking at those. I like the look/ease of the hotsling but I'm unsure of which size to order.... I need to check them out a little further...
 
I have to second the Maya wrap.
I also have a Baby Bjorn, but it KILLS my back. My little guy is 5 months and about 17lbs already.
The Maya wrap is great, helps support my back, and you can carry the baby a number of different ways, including on your hip.

nope, it's infantino. Bjorn-like but at 1/3 the price. Ppl do seem to love ergo however I never tried it. With the hotslings you def need to try on sizes. i actually went to a high end maternity store in my area to try them on and left without buying anything, then added the correct size to my babiesrus.com registry. babiesrus carries more styles and sizes of hotslings on line than in the stores. Besides making sure the size was right, i really wanted to see the various prints and fabrics to make a decision.

and having said all that about hotslings, there are a ton of different brands that make essentially the same pouch-style carrier! for total information overload, look at thebabywearer.com and click on product reviews. hotslings would be under "fitted pouches".
