I just got my MyFi XM Portable Satellite radio!!!

It's so cool, and I'm so glad I got it instead of an Ipod or Mp3 player! I can record up to 5 hours of material at a time, use it in the car, use it on a belt clip for walking, play it through an FM radio, listen to gazillions of neat stations, and on and on, for a $12.00 per month subscription, which is a lot less than I'd spend on music to put in an Ipod! I love electronic gadgets anyway, but this is way neater that what I expected! I paid $109.00 plus shipping on e-bay. As I write this I'm recording music from the 60's channel!

Isn't it great!? My DH has XM satellite radio in his car and we're talking about getting a portable one as well so we an take it on vacations and what not. We love being able to get the Fox News channel. I get grumpy when I miss Brit Hume or Bill O'reilly.

I went for a 1-3/4 hour walk today with my new radio tuned to the Disco Channel (Chrome)! So cool! I'm going to take it to work tomorrow to see if I can get a signal in the building, and if it will play through an FM radio in the aerobic room so I don't have to keep going to the library to get CD's for my Pilates classes. I haven't tried it in the car yet.
