Morning girls,

Don't have much time for personals right now. Gotta hop in the shower and we're going to do some shopping.

This morning I did KPC in its entirety - can't remember the last time I did that. Good stuff but I agree, can't do it regularly!

Anne, here's the blog: www.addsalt.org. And I agree with everyone else, go easy on yourself. I'm with Kate - not sure I'd be getting dressed under your circumstances. I think you're doing SO well! ((HUGS/LOVE))

OK, happy weekend all! BBL!

angie, wtg on the wo! have fun today!

Morning ladies! Angie, awesome wo - I'm jealous! Kate, j is adorable? How is your mom?

Well my drive to my dads last night was a DISASTER! Collin had hit his head at school, and was complaining of a headache, so I stopped to get medicine. Then we stopped for gas-potty-dinner. Then I got lost. Then my phone went dead, and of course I forgot my charger. So I went on a 30 minute detour to get a car charger. UGH!! So a 3.5 hour trip took me 5 hours!

Ok, enough complaining. Better day today, I'm determined!!

good morning all - i am here on my dial up:( great run this am - so nice and cool. mow max later, and i will eat clean, again, as my scale is not budging:mad:

angie, great wo!

kate, so sorry about your mom. where could she have gotten that?

katie, sorry for the crazy drive. are yo home now?

urgg, fighting children - bbiab

Morning! The concert was a blast! I loved having some time out with Jeff and a break from the kids. John Mellencamp was awesome- Bob Dylan sounded terrible and Willie Nelson was well, Willie. My FIL got trashed, which is hysterical. I had a diet soda and 5 sips of beer- we're going to call that a victory! Got home late at 11:30 and had a snack because I was starving- blueberries, cottage cheese and a few almonds. The crock pot lasagna was awesome for dinner- I'll post the recipe later.

Angie: Good for you on KPC! Now we can put that one off again for a while :) Let's have a contest to see how long.... :D

Kate: Tell M we said good luck today! Thanks for the baby fix- she made me smile.

Katie: How frustrating! Urgh. Well, at least you're there now and can enjoy the weekend, hopefully. Maybe you can get out for a run by yourself today?

I am finishing up a banana smoothie and headed downstairs to do my PUB variation. I'll BBL.

Morris: We posted at the same time. My scale didn't budge either. Let's stay focused anyway. Glad you had a good run today.

Hi Everyone!

Tonight we are going to see Billy Joel and Elton John. I am really excited. We have really good seats too. I don't think I have ever been that close at a concert. Today I am going to do errands, cleanmax, etc because I think we will be out pretty late tonight. Today's workout is LIC, and I am going to add my own KB circuit with the bonus cardio since I missed one of my kb workouts this week.

Kate, hope Mike has a good race today! Julia is so cute.
Katie, sorry about the extra long ride. Chris and I have been lucky since we have had the same phone for the last couple of years so there is a charger in each car.
Angie, glad you are feeling better and working out. I think I might order insanity today - need to check our budget and look at the video snippets again
Patti, does Bob Dylan ever sound good? Glad you had fun at the concert. What is your pub variation?
Morris, sorry about the scale not budging. That is so frustrating.

patti, your night sounds great! tomorrow both of our scales will budge. cannot wait for that recipe - i will make that this week.

colleen, good morning, and have fun wioth the concert. insnity sunds good!

Morning!

Dreary wet morning here-good for sleeping in:) So I ended up taking yesterday as a rest day-Nevena never napped and then my dad came by and got TB-had a steak burrito:eek: At least it wasn't my usual 3-4 things, right? So I'll do yesterday's workout today-biceps, chins, abs, and a run/walk with Danica:) We have a b-day party for my friend's little girl this afternoon-pizza is on the menu! I'll have salad and a slice.

Angie, nice work with KPC! Have fun shopping!

Katie, what a crazy night! Glad things finally worked out.

Kate, yay to Mike! Gld the girls had fun-those fairs are a wallet burner for sure! J is a peach:)

Nina, stop thinking about the scale! You look fab! Funny, I just talked to my best friend who told me she weighed herself when she was here last week and she's only 3#s away from her pre-preggo weight-and it's less than I weigh now! And she doesn't work out at all and eats horribly. Bummed me out.

Patti, glad the concert was fun. Can't wait for that recipe-I'm in need of some new ideas. Good luck with your PUB workout!

Colleen, busy day! I like your idea of adding on with the kb-calorie torcher those! HAve fun tonight!

Off to have breakfast...

Mike did GREAT!! He did it in 24 mins! It was POURING too - I was so impressed!

Eats are good, wo will be sts legs

Re my mom - it's viral meningitis and no clue where she got it from. I don't go dare visit - not something I want to be around! Not sure how long she's going to be in the hospital.

Klaudia, I will never understand people like your friend - who eat horrible and stay so thin. Annoys me!
Have fun w/ Danica today running!

Colleen, Hope you have fun tonight!

Patti, Glad you ahd a good night! Looking forward to your recipe!

Nina, Hope you havea good day...depsite fighting childen and ongoing FD!

Katie, Sorry for the bad drive! Hopefully the rest of the wkend makes up for it!

Workout done! I loved doing it that way, really mixed it up. Colleen, first, I did pyramid up only. I also broke up the supersets- rested during the flyes and did bench presses, then played it again and did the reverse. I went heavier on stuff, of course. It felt good, especially since I did PUB as designed earlier in the week.

Klaudia: One thing from TB isn't so bad. We had to stop there last night b/c well, people were drunk. :) I didn't get anything but then again, TB isn't my thing. If we'd stopped at DQ, I would have been in trouble...

Colleen: That is a good idea with the KB and LIC. Have fun tonight! Oh and lol at Bob Dylan ever sounding good. :)

Morris: We must remain positive! I'm with you.

This was so easy- I'll never make lasagna any other way again. This recipe is good b/c you can change so much- use ricotta or other cheeses, add meat if you like or other veggies.

Crock Pot Spinach Lasagna

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
16 oz cottage cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2-3 teaspoons minced garlic
2 jars marinara-style pasta or spaghetti sauce
6 - 8 oz no-boil lasagna noodles (I use whole wheat)
2 frozen box packages of chopped spinach
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
pinch of red pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon italian spices

Thaw spinach and drain. Mix 2 cups mozzarella cheese, the cottage cheese (which I put in the blender first), parmesan, italian spices, garlic, black pepper and red pepper and salt. When the spinach is thawed, drain it and mix it with the cheese.

Spray the crock pot with non-stick spray. Put a layer of spaghetti sauce in the bottom of the crock pot. Then put lasagna noodles. Break them to fit. Then more spaghetti sauce. 1/3 of the spinach/cheese mix. Do this sequence 2 more times. Put one more layer of lasagna noodles and cover with sauce.

Set crock pot on low for 6 hours.

Kate: What is the treatment for your mom? Will she have to be in the hospital for long? Scary stuff- keep us posted.

PATTI, Great WO! Yummy recipe! I actually have 2 boxes of frozen spinach I need to use up! Sweet!
I just talked to my mom and she has no idea what's going on really. Meds meds and more meds. No clue as to how long she'll be there either. I would NOT be a good patient!

Our good friends from Colorado are coming tomorrow to stay for 4 days. THey have to eat gluten-free (BFF has celiac and they suspect her DDs do too). We are havign a ton of company over tomorrow evening for dinner so they can visit a lot of people at once. I'm trying so hard to come up with food for the week! I think Mexican for tmrw night.... I know she wouldn't want me stressing about htis and I wouldn't call it *stressing* but I want to make them food they can EAT! I don't wnat to make gluten food for the other company and have their dds be like "I want xyz like her!"..... Better go work on my grocery list!

Hey all,

Today has been okay. We went looking for some patio furniture but we don't want to spend 500€ so it might just be picnics on a blanket for us. I went to the grocery store and bought a few things. Tonight we're going to grill salmon and I'm going to throw some potatoes and veggies in foil for the grill.

Kate, WTG for Mike and his 5K. Ryan ran a 10K (just on his own this AM) - he's really getting into it and he's fast. That's really scary about your mom - keep us posted. And as usual, love the pic of Chubbs!

Katie, sorry about the rough start to your road trip. That would have driven Ryan crazy. He hates car trips to begin with!

Patti, I'm glad you had so much fun at the concert! I'm definitely trying your crock pot lasagna. What are no boil noodles? Did you use cottage cheese or ricotta? I can't stand cottage cheese... :( How do you make your banana smoothies?

Nina, sorry about the scale woes. I would stay away from it for a while. And as everyone else has said, you look fabulous - don't let it get to you!

Klaudia, oh TB! Stay away - as good as it is, there is a reason it's called Toxic Hell! :) And I hate those skinny for no good reason girls. It's so frustrating! Why can't I be one?

Colleen, have you seen the infomercial you tube clips that someone posted on OD for insanity? I haven't ordered yet. Going to wait to read a few reviews. And I can't believe you're adding something to LIC... that one cooks me on its own!

Kate, you asked the other day about my dad. My mom was never married to him, not really dating him (a different time in her life). Anyway, he knew she was pg but when she called to tell him I was born, he had moved. My mom met her husband (the only dad i've known) when I was 2, they got married when I was 5... hence all the babies added on! :)

Ok, going to read for a bit with annabel.

Angie, thanks for posting the link again. I love your house! Very beautiful. Enjoy the salmon tonight.

Katie, sorry for the rough start to your weekend, that's no fun! I hope you're able to relax and enjoy yourself today.

Robin, how's King's Island? (Is that what it's called?)

Kate, J is so adorable! Were you at the MAC? I hope your mom is doing okay. It's so stressful when our parents aren't well, isn't it? Tell Mike good job on the 5K!

Patti, I'm glad you had fun last night. I love Taco Bell, so I try to avoid it. I don't remember the last time I was there. I would not have been able to resist.

Klaudia, tell your Dad he can bring TB to my house any time. :p Just kidding! I hope the birthday party is fun today.

Colleen, have fun tonight. That sounds like a great concert. We have a local music festival going on and one of my friends asked me if I was going. I said I don't like crowds or loud music, so I tend to shy away from it. It's very popular, though, and good for the city. Sheryl Crow was here the other night.

Nina, glad you had a good run. Does DH ever mow when he's home? It's never ending keeping up with that stuff, isn't it? I hope the fighting children have calmed down.

Hi Lisa and Kath!

I have had an extremely lazy morning here, which has been nice. I'm not even going to attempt to work out today. I'm going to get in the shower soon and I may go to the grocery store. I had granola and yogurt for breakfast. I think I'm going to make quesadillas for lunch, then I'm heading to my girlfriend's house. We're not going out, but she lives in the country and has a beautiful deck and yard, so we're just going to hang out at her house. It should be fun. I hope everyone has a great Saturday!

anne

GS Biceps, 3 sets of chin ups, and a 27 minute run/walk (Danica was getting really tired and red faced so we stopped) are in the books! Will do the abs tomorrow. Gotta get ready for the b-day party at 4.

Kate, tell Mike way to go! 24 minutes is awesome! I hope your mom gets better quick-that's scary stuff! I don't get people like my friend either! Although her husband thinks I look good-he's impressed with my workouts and wants her to follow my lead;) I'm the same way when we have company-want to make what they like, etc. Mexican sounds great!

Patti, TB is always our late night run;) Good thing DQ's not open that late! Glad you liked your PUB modifications-it's like a whole new workout!

Angie, I think the girls will remember picnics on a blanket way more than a patio set:) Enjoy your dinner tonight!

Anne, my dad is so funny-he called me from Romeo and said he was stopping by! As if that's on the way! Have a wonderful time tonight!

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

anne, ive never been to common ground - not our scene either.

kl, wtg danica! shes doing great!
hope the party is fun! clean/pc vibes comin atcha!

Morning girls,

Sunday morning pancakes in the books. I had small ones and only a few. Ryan would probably freak out if I didn't eat Sunday morning pancakes so I figure it has to be at least one cheat a week!

Today is L&G. I'd like to do some sort of cardio too - we'll see. I just enjoy my WOs so much more if I get that in.

Kate, the thread is quiet this weekend, huh? Yeah, after my parents got married they asked the pastor to recommend a church and they started attending Willow Creek and both were saved there... the rest is history! God can do amazing things!

Klaudia, I always tell Ryan that I don't want to be that "skinny girl" but want to look like I work out. I think it's much more admirable!

Anne, I love lazy days like that and I miss them from my pre-kid days. Hope you had fun with your girlfriend!

Ok, need to get some laundry done... bbl!
