BBL!!

Morning ladies! :D

Jane, I am honored that you would want us on your side if you did that crazy run! :) would it be okay if I rode my bike, though? :p and I agree, you did turn out okay and I look forward to seeing you every day, but I am so so sorry for the early years. My younger sister also had problems, and my mom fought to have her held back but did win. She still had problems the following year, though, and like you she did catch up eventually but I know she felt the same way self-esteem wise. By the time she was in middle school she was an honor student she graduated high school Salutatorian, but the damage had been done. Now she is charge nurse of her unit and still feels down on herself. Her struggle made her work harder than everyone else and achieve more, but unfortunately made her feel like she has to or she will fail. :( I am so grateful that we have the choices we do now, and that the freedom to exercise those choices. Kids should NOT have to feel that way!!!

Deanie, my fellow mean-mom partner, yay for no blisters! woo hoo!!! Great job on SIM, too. Did you see that it was on sale during the Dog Days? I think it went on sale just shortly after you bought it... why does that always happen?

Marcy, it's great you are improving each week! Yay!!! :D:D:D I think it's great and I give a big congrats to you and Deanie each for the sizes you wear - I haven't worn anything smaller than a 6 in any brand since I was 23. :) And I can't live w/o a dog either. DH is allergic, but after we have had ours for a while his allergies settle down and he's okay... strange, huh?

Gayle, how's it going?

Rhonda, what's up, girl?

Tammy, Laura and anyone else I missed (sorry!) - HOLA!!! :) :) :)

I am taking the rest of the week off. I have to get used to my schedule and new sleeping patterns because I feel drained and my body is playing catch up.

I have to get moving now! I will talk to you later. :)

Melissa

GOOD MORNING!!!
:D:D:D:D

How is everyone this fine day? I loved the workout last night. I think I completed 6 rounds in about 35 minutes. It was fun and moved fast.

My workout for today is:

Kettlebell Strength and Conditioning
Get in as many rounds as you can in 30 minutes

Use a Heavy Bell

Kettlebell Swings 10 or 5/5
Push Ups 10
presses or push press 5/5
1 arm racked squat 5/5
1 arm row 5/5 or pull ups
walkouts 5
Kettlebell Upright row 10

Deanie ~ I'm glad you're lovin' SIM! Thanks for being on my crew! :p

Melissa ~
Thanks for being on my crew...and yes you can ride your bike! :) Don't be sorry for my early years. My only issue was school. I had a very magical childhood. I had FANTASTIC parents who let me be me and didn't try to compare me with my A-student sisters. Through the years I have come to understand why I felt the way I did and it has made me a stronger and more confident person. I wouldn't trade that lesson for anything. So it is all good! I'm sorry about your sister. Hopefully she will realize all that she has accomplished and feel good about it. She has a great older sis. ;) Enjoy your rest week! I will workout for you.

Marcy ~ When I first moved here, I hated the heat but a couple of years ago I went to a fitness boot camp where we worked out in a non air conditioned warehouse. I think the worst workout we did in the heat was running the stadium at FSU with a heat index of 110 degrees. It was TOUGH but eventually you get used to it.

Gayle/Rhonda
~ Hope you guys are enjoying your R&R!!

Waving hello to Tammy!!!

Have a great Thursday!!!

Good Afternoon!

I did Firm it Up this morning (mostly all leg workout with some abs). I put on 5# ankle weights after the warmup and kept them on for the rest of the workout. Really made a difference.

Jane - I actually like the heat down here. Maybe I could run in the heat but not if it's real humid.

Melissa - Thanks! I've always been small except when I met DH and he gave me bad eating habits (like snacking at night). A few years ago, I lost 20 lbs. but this year somehow the weight is creeping back. I really have to watch what I eat a lot more carefully. I used to be able to eat anything and not gain an ounce but I don't think that's happening anymore. Size 6 is still a very nice size to be (I think most women wished they were a size 6).

Allergies can change over the years so maybe your DH is not as allergic as he once was.

Deanie - So glad you made your pushups look purty!:D Yay for no blisters!:D

Waves to all!

Marcy
