I know alot of you are probably tired of hearing my brag about my kids and how wonderful they are, but I must go on!
As you mom's of school age kids know, our kids all took ISTEP this fall, as did my DD. We got her test results back yesterday along with her midterm grades, and I could not be more proud of her! Not only does she have all A's, but she tested a "high" on all of her reading and language arts tests with an 80% or higher compared to the district and national average! :7 :7 :7
Her teacher emailed me to come in to sit with her for a conference one morning, and I was blown away by what she had said! Mariah is so helpful in class, she encourages those that are behind in their work and helps her classmates when she is finished with her work, she has a perfect score in Spelling and on all of her Math tests, she works very diligently and she is just an all around wonderful student. She said that she cannot wait to see what Mariah will become when she grows up, and she knows that DD will be great someday. This is not a teacher who compliments readily and really is pretty critical, so you can imagine the tears of joy that were streaming down my face when I got into the van! I know that Mariah is wonderful, but to hear someone else express such genuine and high praise of your child is just... there are no words strong enough to describe how I feel! Overwhelming doesn't even begin to describe it. And last year Layne got the citizenship and lunchroom award for conduct and behavior for the whole year. How did I get so lucky? My kids are just so wonderful!
Thank you so much for listening to a mother's boasting, as long as this was! :7 :7 :7 :7
