ACK! Kate is back, Kate is back!
LMAO, what's with the confusing title? That's almost as misleading as my "Doing Yoga with a Stuffed Up Nose - Hate It!" title. It took me a few seconds to become clever enough to realize that "the day after the 27th" means the 28th.
Kate - When I first saw your post and didn't recognize your user name, I was so curious as to who started our hate thread. What a nice surprise to see it is you! My answer is "dark." :9 That's great about your DD and her comprehension tests. Congrats to her!
Wow, I would love a cooking area to cook my fish. My kitchen is also my living room and bedroom! So believe it or not, the contents of my cupboard might sound sparse, but they actually fill my tiny cupboard!
Jeanette - I hope you hadn't put milk on your Raisin Bran flakes before remembering the steel cut oats in your fridge. Do you take a scoop out and just reheat it, or when you cook it, do you just half cook it, and then need to put liquid in and cook it up at all the way? That peanut butter honey tortilla sounds daaang good.
Michele - I like the idea of smashing up banana into barley. I'm really into bananas these days, and have been cutting them in halves the long way, and spreading organic peanut butter on them and washing it all down with some soy milk for my afternoon snack (when I'm not eating my raw nuts, of course
). Yu-hum! Anyway, I tend to like my sweet things on the bitter-sweet side rather than sweet, let alone unnaturally sweet, so those I don't think I'd get too far with sweeteners.
Now you made we want to rent Christmas Story LOL.
Ah, the is it a yam or is it a sweet potato. Don't some people call sweet potatoes yams? It's quite confusing.
Diane - Ooh, you're back! Welcome back! Congratulations for keeping up with your running over Thanksgiving!
Dana - Oh man, that sucks about the lost tax data. And it sucks about your computer, too. I hope you'll be able to read today's posts tomorrow (LOL). So how did you fish turn out? My fish was marinated in miso paste, so it was actually the miso paste that burned (I was doing my yoga while I was cooking the fish, and I could hear it sizzling, but I was just in the middle of my deep breathing x( ). Once I peeled the burnt miso off, the fish itself was pretty good. Ooh, Michele came up with some nice ideas for your gift basket. Ooh, and so did Robin. You could also do the flip side of a facial and get her a full-out pedicure (I know you mentioned your boss doesn't like massage, but a foot massage is a bit different...?).
Deb - Reverse psychology! Ahahaha! Trick that brain! I still have yet to try out my Gin Miller Intense Moves. But I hear lots of great things about it, so I'm glad I have it even if I haven't touched it.
Robin - 10! 10! 10! 10! 10! CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is so great! Good for you, and good for you for keeping up with all your workouts! Tristan's work sounds cool. It must be fun to be handling all those electronic things. I hope he gets some freebies!
Ahhhh, okay, it's Power Hour today (ugh, endurance). I decided to switch my off day this Thursday to yesterday since I couldn't summon up the urge to do my cardio after coming back from lunch. What a wimp. :*
