I Hate Cardio - Sept. 7

Where is everyone?

I did my Five Factor workout today at warp speed (no rest) only only 10 min cardio because I was late. I think I am starting to have panic attacks because of this whole possible huge life change thing. I also feel the need to quit my job today, I am not sure how much longer I can take it, seriously. Not in a good place right now. Gotta get back to work.

I am here, I had to take DD into daycare today. Oh, talk about wanting to have a breakdown in the car, I cried. DD did not even cry when I left her...gee thanks kiddo! I pick her up today at 4, she seemed to be just fine when I left and was having fun crawling over all the other babies! What a little firecracker! 5 boys and 2 girls in the class! Can you believe! Where are all the girls!!!

Now I have like ten billion things to do so I am going to get to it, but I will check back in with you guys later. I already miss my DD. Feel so lonely with out her!

Hi Jana - I'm glad that you DD is adjusting well to day care, but sorry that you miss her. It must be strange.

I am so proud of myself for resisting temptation just now. Some vendors brought by all these chicken biscuit sandwiches from Chick Filet and some fruit. I ignore the greasy fried chicken and just got some fruit for my snack along with cottage cheese. I usually would have eaten several of the chicken things. Baby steps.

OMG...I LOVE THOSE DARN THINGS...we have a chick filet right by our house and my DH eats those every Sat morning. I just drool over them while he eats them. Big pat on the back for you for not eating them!!! So proud of you!!! :7 :7

Try to relax about everything, I know how it feels when work really sucks, but you are going to be ok, just try to hang in there and take breaks when you need them. Just take the elevlator down (have no idea if you are on the 1st floor or what ever, just assume with downtown you are up in a bldg somewhere!), step outside and take a breath of fresh non-smoker air. Smokers are soooo yucky!...just had to add that in....

Jana - So how has the 5 Factor thing been going so far? What have you been doing for meals? Do you like the workout? I always think that it is just too quick, but then I am sore the next day so that is good. I just did Tuesday today so I am a little behind :-( But I will catch up over the weekend.

I am going to run to the mall real quick, but will answer that when I get back. I can share with you some stuff I eat. Stand by!

Love the job posting...too funny!!!

Hi everybody--well at least Janjan and Diane--lol!

I've been gone since early this morning and I just got home. I had a dentist appt out of town. I have to see a dental specialist because I have a funky autoimmune disease in my mouth that I have to have checked several times a year. It's flared up;( so I have to go back in a month. I also need a crown;( ;( .

I haven't worked out yet. I wanted to squeeze one in but I don't want to have to shower again. It's DH's birthday and we're going out to dinner in a few hours. I wanted to do a workout this morning but couldn't get to it. I may have to put it off at this point until tomorrow.

Janjan, that must've been hard to drop your DD off at daycare for the first time. {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and I hope she's really happy to see you this afternoon. Are you ready for your new job? You still haven't mentioned what it is you'll be doing.

Diane, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for you, too. I'm so sorry things are all topsy-turvy for you right now. I hope you and your DH get your future neatly squared away real soon. It would be awful to have to spend that much time doing a job you don't like. I checked out your job ad. OMG!! That was hilarious!! How are you doing on that diet/exercise program? And hows your hair?

August, did you ever get any sleep last night? Have you done Basic Step yet? I hope you like it since I so highly recommended it to you. I like it but then, I'm a total klutz.

Katiepoo where are you? It sounds like you're really involvled in your kid's school. I think that's really neat.

Dana--I miss you still:*

Okay, I need a little nap. I'll see you later:*

Michele - I see that it is your birthday! Happy B-day! My hair looks horrible today. I am thinking maybe I just need a haircut and a new conditioner. My hair has been drier since I stopped using the bumble and bumble stuff, so I will go back to that. It is just so expensive and the salon that carries it is inconvenient. I would have to order all my hair product online to get them in Abilene! What will I do? Will I have to drive to Dallas to get my hair highlighted? These are major issues.

by the way, I also just broke my diet for the day. My boss bought me a Starbucks and I got a caramel macchiato instead of just getting a coffee or a latte which doesn't have all the sugar. Oh well, it is yummy and free.

Diane, it's my DH's Bday. One of the girls in teh <--- thread posted the bday thread for my DH. She refers to him as Mr. Michele--lol!

One little treat from Starbucks won't hurt you, just be good the rest of the day.

I order ALL of my haircare products online. ALL of them. I live between 2 cities but it's still too far to go just to buy shampoo and conditioner. I can't help you with the salon. I would give anything if I could find a stylist who specializes in naturally curly hair. My gal does a good job with color and highlights but not so much with the cut. She's been doing my hair since 1990 and I wouldn't have the heart to move on if I did find someone who could cut curly hair;)

I suggest you invest in A LOT of conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and a good gel. I can't stress enough how important it is to use a ton of product.

I liked the slouch boots you posted.

Michele - I like those slouch boots too! Doesn't seem like anyone else did ;-) I even picked them because they were not TOO slouchy. Oh well, I will look stylish in them if I ever go get them. Now that we are thinking of moving, I might hold on to all the money I saved in my personal fund and we might have to give that back to family savings. Oh well. I might not be too fashionable this year. I might be one of the more fashionable people in Abilene though! I can't compare to all these people in Houston, wearing their Manolos with their LV bags. But maybe in Abilene in will be in style. But then again there are several private universities there with lots of little rich kids, so I may still be a uncool x( Oh well.

What is the website again for the hair products? I am thinking of buying the conditioner (love my shampoo) and deep conditioner and humidity gel. Does the humidity gel get crispy? I hate that, my hair is pretty fine so gets cripsy.

I found the website - is the deep conditioner really worth $30?

What boots?? What did I miss?? I want to see!!!!

Personally I own 3 pairs of Manolos....ask me where they are.....in my closet growing dust.....give me my Pumas and flip flops or give me death!! haha!!!:p :p :p

The boots are from a posting on the open forum about fall fashion. Here are the boots:

The most expensive shoes I've ever bought were so Kate Spade shoes for my wedding and they were the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn in my life. And of course never wearing them again. They were super cute though. I just did a search and found them on the internet (see below). I needed something with a low heal so that wouldn't be taller than DH.

Diane, the Deep Conditioner is GREAT! It's one of my all time favorite products but you need to put it on after you shampoo and then sit under a hair dryer to really get the best results. I do it about every 2 weeks. A big bottle lasts a long time. You can always order the products in the 8 oz size and if you don't like them you can send them back for a refund (they will not give you a refund on the big bottles, though).

The Cliamte control Gel can make your hair crispy. I partially dry my hair with a diffuser and that takes the crispyness out for the most part, but if you let it air dry it will be crispy. If you smooth your hair with your hands that also helps to get rid of the crisp factor.

My DH should be home any minute and then we're going out to dinner. I'll see you girls tomorrow.

Oh! I just bought ALL of the Cardio Coach workouts:) I'm totally excited about that!

Love the boots! I think I might get a pair too! Ok, before you move we have to go and hit the Galleria! Shoe shopping!! Yeah!!
I had a couple of really good months when I was working a few years back and spent stupid money (yes, I lost my brain for a while) and bought those shoes. What a waste of $$. I sold 1 pair on Ebay, but I don't think I got enough.

Your wedding shoes were fab too! Beautiful!!

Hey strangers. Haven't been checking in lately, well, b/c I"m a big, fat blob who hasn't worked out in ages. (ith the exception of walking about 20 miles a week). I'm in such a funk right now. I did BFL for 10 weeks, following it very strictly and I lost a whopping 2 lbs. Talk about discouraging. So right now, I haven't been working out and eating like crap. I know that I shouldn't give up but when you work your butt off for 10 weeks and have NO results to show, it is very frustrating. So right now I'm not doing anything. Which is why I haven't been checking in. I've said this before, I am not a small person, I've got at least 40 lbs to lose so you would think that with all the clean eating and working out that I was doing I would lose something. Nope, nothing, nada, zilch. OK, enough about my depressing life!

Jana, I see that Marley has started daycare. It is hard, I know. Did you get a job? How are the teeth? Has she gotten any?

Diane, how are the kitties??? I'm still sending you preggo vibes.

Michele - I miss you too.:) How do you like your elliptical?

Kate - how's life since the kiddos are back at school?

August - how was your trip to the U.S.? Are you back in the swing of things now?

Like I said, not too much going on here. Gabe started K on Tuesday. He doesn't say too much though so I"m guessing he likes it??? Gannon started walking last Saturday - can't believe he will be a year old soon. And I"m still bugging DH to get me a boxer!!!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi!!!

Luv yas!!!!

Hey Dana! I send you a PM today just a FYI!!
It is sooo good to hear from you! We miss you!
I doubt you are a big fat blob, but I feel like one right now after the choco binge I had yesterday thanks to TTOM!

That is soooooooo awesome Gannon started walking!!! YEAH!!! Big hugs for him!!!

Dana, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}. I know it's disappointing but don't be so hard on yourself. Maybe you're not eating enough--have you thought of that? Just a guess, but walking 20 miles a week is a lot of cardio. Take a break to refresh your mind and spirit and then jump back in. Hey, that's what we're here for--to support each other.

Yes, I LOVE my elliptical. And trust me, I'm having my own little setbacks with exercise and weight loss and too few results. We just have to hang in there and go for the long haul. We can do this. Stick with me, sistah!:* :*
